No disrespect to current singers including all ghazal , classical and popular singers of the subcontinent...but if all of them combined their skills and talent they will still not be able to produce the magic Ustad Nusrath Fateh Ali produced from 7.10 till the end....that was unbelievable. Its almost as if his vocal chords were alien.....The best singer ever!

A "sargam' is the rapid rendering of notes of the raga, the socalled jumbled utterances we hear Nusrat doing in his most inimmitable way.

Qawwali at its pinnacle!! When a new Qawwal like Nusrat will grace this world again!

Ragas are combination of at least five (of seven universal notes)notes of music which are pleasing to the ear. What we have seen here by the legendary Nusrat are two aspects of a complete qawwali (usually happens in the second half of a typical qawwali). One is jugulbandi, a duel so to say, between the singer and either the percussionist or anothe r singer (Rahat used to do that). The other thing was "sargam":

I think the last Qawali by Nusrat was "Meri Tauba Meri Tauba" means (Forgive me oh God). But i am not sure, but this is confirmed that this Qawali was released after his death
