@luxuspeter but the words of the bible are just another form of saying obey and fear your leaders or kings only they changed the names from kings to gods, messengers or envoys to angels ,and havens to heavens.
fuck these governments. they all have to go down!!! try living in the woods and growing your own food and building your own house withouth owning the land and paying property taxes. once the authorities find out you will get off. these governments do nothing to better the situation of mankind so why do we need them? and if we are going to have government then the government needs to be afraid of the people not the people fearing the government.
Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely but we can't blame everything on politicians and governments . We must all wake up up and take our share of responsibility for this mess . We are the problem ..WE are the solution ..power to the peaceful :D
We need to start by fixing ourselves, working on our hearts. No system will ever work, no political party will ever be good enough. The only thing we can change is our self, and through this change, change will come. Start taking responsibility.
Thank you graphttic, it brings awareness and sheds light to that which needs changing. But ultimately I believe the flaws are needed in order to activate action and changes with in us.
PS This is why three things are encouraged by the powerful...irresponsibility, competition, and greed. These three things are counterintuitive to a free and loving society. Thomas Merton once said, paraphrased..the only TRUE REVOLUTION TAKES PLACE IN THE HEART. One heart at a time. Love cannot be 'forced' to be love it must be CHOSEN!
Far from loving money I really am neutral towards it, but I'm not neutral towards a totalitarian cashless world. What's the plan? To implant chips for buying and selling. That's an intriguing component of 'freedom'? Freedom is NOT freedom FROM something, for instance money, freedom is a thing in itself. Freedom is earned by responsibility, and you would not be allowed responsibility or freedom in a totalitarian world. Money system can only be replaced with one thing:TOTAL POWER OVER THE MASSES.
Max thank you very much 4 your efforts, my compliments, never give up, "The Big Picture" (in my humble opinion), is absolutely stunning, keep it up, your efforts are much appreciated.
If I was from another planet and I came to earth to live, I'd be scared. The fact that since birth we are constantly lied to, then when you get a bit older (depending on when your parents stop feeding you) you need to find a way to make money. Then your life becomes meaningless. Your entire mission in life is to accumulate a piece of paper that has a dead guy on it (at least in the US.) If you do not do this (like Max said) you will have nowhere to eat sleep shit or piss. money=root of all evil.
@bones22j Correction: Jesus said the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. Money is just like everything else. With it, you can create, you can destroy. If you consider a stone, a lump of steel, explosives, sex any thing, can be used to bring about creation or destruction.
@MaleAdaptor: yes you are correct. Jesus did say that. I stand corrected. I'm just at a point in my life where I wish the entire monatary system was never created in the first place. If we all grew our own food and traded things. I wish that everyone on this earth was able to earn a living with their God given talents. For example, a good crop grower needs the tools to do so and a tool maker needs those who find the metals to do so. You see where I am going with this but the world is what it is.
Money is our birthright. Honestly without it we would go back to a stone age type of society or we would require an authoritative-communist type of society. But even then resources would not be allocated naturally and by the supply demand cycles. The problem is in the system of corporate law and usury/inflationary currency. A currency is much more adaptable to a high tech world than barter. People can grow their own food, but I am not interested in that see? I have bad hands and hips, what...
...will I do then? I can make a living and convert it into a currency (whatever that may be) and trade that. To me there is nothing more natural. money is like a language - a symbolic representation of wealth - and wealth is brought into this world by effort. Simple matter is, if we can help people, one by one to understand what money actually is in their lives and cure this urgent need for it as a symbol of status and put it in it's rightful place as a great tool to allocate rescources...
...in a natural and efficient way. My suggestion is, as unpleasant as it might be to you at first is to look into the concepts of natural capitalism and use a little comparative analysis to a moneyless system and arrive at your own decisions/ideas. That is what I did.
You are not a sheep, you just judge everything by what you know right now, and things appear deceiving. Humanity has tried out any system apart from lazy-o-capitalism for thousands of years and it worked, apart from the last 200 years where we have lazy-o-capitalism and pseudo-communism.... and then people like you who like the excess luxury of not producing anything but consuming everything, say this is our destiny, or our godgiven right, or whatever.... we need to think apart from our comfort.
I also admit that my job is producing mostly junk, but at least I will not profess that because my ass fits in the system, that the system is perfect. Far from that. For the entire human history, one race is becoming lazy suppressors of another. Ancient Egyptians supressed black tribes, and then Romans Brits and Muslims Supressed Egypt. Babylon (iraq) ruled the middle east, and then it self got ruled upon. Half of us sit half the time, while the other half is dying, and you think it makes sense?
You are not fat and lazy, the upper half of the western hemisphere is fat and lazy dude, and me too...(not fat though....:P) , the difference is, I am not proud of it, and try to find ways out of it, I limit my consumerism, and you seem bit proud of all this corporate slavery. Now I carry no hate, and it burns not, I am just dealing with the numbers here. If there aint no slaves out there, our precious vehicles would cost X10, so F off. Reality is, you like privileges.... so do our leaders. :(
You are COMPLETELY misguided about me. Here's a privilege for you: your refrigerator. Ain't it a great thing? What are the economics that go into producing such a thing? How does division of labor and profit motive provide such a miraculous thing in our lives? Do you know? PLEASE study economics and natural capitalism and you will see it's actually a system that is non coercive, intuitive, efficient and ecologically sound. BTW, the system we see nowadays is NOT capitalism. It is fascism.
yeah, fascism now, not capitalism, fascism destroys cultures in 10 years.... capitalism in a hundred, communism in 50 years..... big deal, as long as we want more than we produce, somebody is slaving his self out for us.
I reject the whole idea that if someone prospers that means another must always slave or is taken away from. What is really the ridiculous notion to me is to ask someone to provide for me without an appropriate exchange of some sort - THAT is slavery. And it is the antithesis of non coercive capitalism. To gain a balanced perspective it's wise to study all angles and use your won discernment. I guarantee you would not feel so bad about money if you really knew what goodness it has done for us.
Ahem. I should say demand, not ask. I can ask, but I should never force or demand that another person provide anything for me. It is highly unethical. This is a major problem in the world today.
Right as if I ask, can i murder you, and you say yes, would it make it fair? You swim on the shallows. When a beautiful Russian woman was starving outside Moscow a whorehouse owner and body trafficker asked her "want to get fucked all day through all holes by strangers for a descent salary and a flat?" and the Russian woman replies (Oh yes.). So do you think that demanding, is any different than asking, in the realms of scarcity?
I know what money has done for us, but you nimrod did not pay attention that 80% of the forests, 30% of the animals, 50% of the lakes and rivers, and 70% of the fish reserves are either gone or fucked in the period our species experiments with the valuable toilet paper we call money. Are you retarded? Do you think we can afford to toy with money any longer? Labor my friend can not be forged, money can. Labor can not be concentrated in the hands of the few, money can, labor can not be printed.
I give 7 line comments with a petty insult, and you deduct only the petty insult? Boy, I am not surprised by you thinking I hate the human race. All I was saying is that before marketing, good were acquired on basis of need, not on a basis of a way of living. Before marketing shit reached the people they needed it anyway, now people die of soft drinks because of the excessive marketing. If you think that is hate you are a moron. It is called an observation. I use my birthright powers alright.
But we don't live in caves, we are living in civilization. For instance, I am an artist, but if I were still a caveman I'd probably have to use charcoal on cave walls. That was before marketing and production of art materials of higher quality. But now I am able to purchase pencils, oil paints, paper, etc, rather than spend my life finding the pigments and materials myself in nature. The word is CIVILIZATION. If there is no money only ELITES will have art media, unless the STATE rations them.
Yes, try to check the working conditions of the people that retrieve those materials for you. Today the average art student, produces more toxic waste than ever before. Does that mean our art is better than before?
I try very hard NOT to create toxic waste, as far as what I have control over, but I see your point, it's valid! I say that because even if I am careful, it doesn't mean the production processes are. For instance I don't use acrylics because it uses water and the water gets contaminated with heavy metals.
ps I use pencils quite a bit, and oil paint, and am very careful about used turpentine, etc. Oil painting is a very 'old' artform...and relatively 'natural'. It is an artists responsibility to be environmentally sound, I think. But, I have to say, it isn't a bad thing that you've reminded me of what MIGHT be dangerous related to production. I'd hope they have safety standards, but maybe they don't! I'll do some research. Do you grow all your own food? Even making a hoe can harm the environment.
Of course, and certainly I do harm the environment indirectly too. But imagine a man owning a couple of SUV's and a couple of homes. What does he daily destroy?
Cool, but you see the market is free, and not anyone does your choices. And monitoring materials has no point. People should be self-limiting in their actions.
And what you are describing when you say 'wanting more than one produces' is over-consumerism. And over-consumerism comes from a credit based society. And with credit comes debt and overproduction of goods that are unneeded. Combine this with fascist meddling in the natural economies of the world and you get the mess we are in today. Cheap and readily available credit to nations and individuals is the culprit here, not the "haves and have-nots".
No you do not need a Refrigerator... not a double triple door, with Nano filters and circulated cooling, costing about $2000, my refrigerator is worth 180 dollars, in europe!
Humans survived without fridges virtually forever. Africa of all the places was a fucking wealthy happy continent long before the era of the Fridge. And even the fucking pyramids were build with no fridge. People adapted their food processing according to climate.
Jesus Christ. So you would destroy all comforts that humans have invented for themselves, these things were created by human hands and therefore natural. What is wrong with this? Do you hate humanity that much?
Refrigeration is a good thing. I think people are nicer to each other in air conditioning, rather than grumpy in 101 degree heat and a little fan, sweating and cooking over a wood stove.And.. People waste less food when it can be refrigerated. For instance, in grocery stores, the food stays good all seasons.
To proove the point, the whole fucking Indonesia has no fucking domestic fridges. All goods are daily bought daily eaten. But, the fridges indonesia produces are used by us, the average white trash in the western world. Fair is it not?
Then since westerners had fridges even in cars, then they could pack all the foods of the world, and become obese and die of cancer, while others die of malnutrition. Wake up, to the real world, and stop watching "The Secret" all day......
YOU wake up to your own power, and stop whining about victimization and do something with yourself. Power in any form is your birthright (yes this includes MONEY). I've had enough of your belligerence. Goodbye.
Yeah simpleton. But I am not against civilization. Rationality is my sport. Question one.... does civilization mean aggressive marketing? Does civilization means there is need for products like smarties, coca-cola or 2 flavored chewing gum? Does civilization require anal bleeching? Botox? Silicon Breasts? Does Civilization require polished cars? Tomatoes cut in flower shapes? Do you need a 400.000 Car?
Question 2. Do you thing everything we produce in the form we produce it is civilization?
No, we don't need cola, fake boobs, botox, fancy cars, lifted faces, video games, more video games, microwave ovens, music cds, canoes, sleeping bags, stereo speakers, tvs, thick carpets, umbrellas, post it pads, camping tents, earings, dog toys, lawn mowers, etc etc etc. We do need chocolate candy, tho.
Yes, and al those products do need resources and labour, and research, and graphics, and public relations, and accounting, and loans. And it is stupid, cause all those jobs and resource can be redirected to more meaningful food processing and production, making more room in the economy for beneficial products and healthy profiteering.
But for every darn thing out there there is a fanatic. The problem is not the fanatic. The problem is that once a man is addicted to an ipod we all have to follow.
I am typing in a computer, cause that is what I selected to be my tech-expenditure. Yet I own no television, no Aircondition, just winter heating, I own no car, and use public transport. I exchange my owning the computer for bying clothes only to replace destroyed clothes, I do not exchange senseless decorative objects, I do not use an airplane to do business. I do not medicate my self unless absolutely necessary. Hell I do not even have a yard to spend water on it. My job office even is my PC.
So as you see in my previous comments I try to posses only what I mostly need, and I am happy. I spend less on all fields than any of my peers. That is not against civilization, that is using civilization with caution. Use what you must, and let the rest for the next generation. You hypocrites forget we have even fished fishes out of existence........you are the enemies of civilixations, the "I WANT"-PEOPLE... that keep wanting, and mistake ownership for responsibility and freedom.
My father lives in Europe. He was educated as an engineer and employed steadily through out his life, from 14 till 59. But he never abandoned his village relatives and roots. So after his retirement, he took his savings to do his dream. No posh dream though. He used his savings and personal labor at the age of 63 tp build a grapevine field and a small organic chicken & vegerable farm where he works, and actively produces healthy food for our society. Is he a caveman?
It is, and it keeps him young, but unfortunately, I tend to believe that as much as his choice, it was also a result of his era and childhood and life in the village. The problem is, that people today are brought up with postmodern trends, attached to ipods and tweeters, malls and theme-parks and everperfecting the tools but never the effort, ever increasing the wealth yet not the substance, in a manner that useful productive hobbies and trends are extinct. What happened to garden keeping?
My grandmother had a garden. She made home made bread and home made jelly from her own berries. I used to live with husband/kids on 3 acres, and I wish I still lived there because there was room enough to grow our own food, and apple orchards. We grew corn, potatoes, and strawberries. Potatoes are tricky to grow in Illinois. To keep the racoons from eating the corn, tho, we had to play a radio to scare them away. hahahaha My husband's uncle lived a lot like your dad, very simply, but abundantly.
But, my grandmother was also a school teacher. In the classroom were books, paper, art supplies, sissors, blackboards, chalk, flashcards, posters, chairs, tables, desks,... etc, etc. Children came to learn how to be productive educated citizens of civilization. Ha ha...that was before *the powers* called us consumers.
Well then, my whole point is that is civilization as well, and it is being destroyed by other manifestations of our culture, like marketing, stock markets and centralization as well as TV. There is nothing wrong with being civilized, as long as you are flexible enough to employ the best solution known to man, rather than the most profitable solution known to corporations. People have forgotten how good it feels to give back to society. That's why my dad and your gran did not need pills to sleep.
I for one, try to make some sense out of my life even if our lifestyle underwent an enormous change, as long as there is freedom in it. What you seek and cherish is not freedom, cause that requires responsibility. What you seek is not Freedom, it is a Free-ride, and love aint got nothing to do with it. You prefer your well-being and another's misery.... good for you... survivor.....
When you say money is our birthright I wanna puke. Money is the only real devil that will ever exist, cause it requires people to be wise and moral all the time, and that is impossible. What makes morality possible is the burden of your own life. If you want to have, you gotta produce, rather than twit of facebook your ass to death. Morality comes when a car costs as much as a noisy dangerous consuming machine should. A car at 1/10 of the price cause of Chinese labor is indecent shit. Thats all.
I think very similarly to you, because without money, as the representative of labor, in freedom!, you definitely would be left with CHAOS, and Chaos can't last for long, so the replacement will soon be totalitarianism, where you receive resources based on a committee's decison. No money on earth = Global Totalitarianism. If you think contacting your representative is difficult now, wait and see in the cashless globe how little power you'll have over your life.
That is why I am wary of a cashless society; it's the easiest way to get what's left of peoples' power out of their hands. the solution lies within each and every one of us, not the abolition of things. Such an action is only ever a misdirection and it never really solves the source issue. the source issue is the virus in 99% of the population about money and personal power. People have given that to psychopaths, unaware of the folly of such a thing.
money is our birthright? Honestly gypster, Im surprised. Money is fake, its paper or digital credits. its stuff we have been conditioned to believe we need in order to access everything that is provided freely for us. Money is a talisman for control, nothing more, nothing less.abundance and prosperity is our birthright, money is a system of control to ensure we are never in the natural state of abundance we are entitled to be in or that if we are, it's usually at the expense of someone else.
Thank you Max, we need you, keep speaking, we need your voice for our slow but incredibly accelerating pace towards cosmic awareness. In lak'ech, Jah Bliss from Montreal
If you study the history of how money came to be, you may see what I see in it, that it was created by humanity to be an aid to our progress. In it's current form it is not just a 'system' of control, it is a way to consolidate power. Natural money, in my opinion is ok, since humanity generates wealth, Max. For example it is unethical for me to ask someone to use their labor to provide something for me for free, I should provide for them an equivalent for their efforts. This is why I say...
...that money is a birthright, it's natural as a form of trade that is more efficient than barter. Our society could not exist as it is with it's relative freedoms. Please look into natural capitalism and economics, I did and it changed my world. i am no longer in the victim mentality, I understand enough now to do what I can for myself and instruct others how to become independent and reclaim our power - which is the only true way, not continuing to be in the 'victim' mode of consciousness.
You say a lot of good things but I feel you really fall short on the money aspect. Many people nowadays ascribe some sort of character to it when it's inert like water. Your blame is completely misplaced, in my opinion. The blame lies in the individual, not in the whole. It's in the people, not in money. Take money away, and another method of power mongering will emerge, and that is more than likely in the form of authoritarianism, which is really what the psychopaths want. They want to ...
... control what we eat, and when we sleep and poop. That gets their rocks off. They will do anything to get there, including all the awful things we all may imagine (real or not). In short, it's time to stop paying attention to the boogeyman in the room and reclaim our power, and rejecting money is not a good way to do that, because in this current world money is power. The more you reject it, the less power you have. See money as a tool to achieve an altruistic end and you are using it ...
.. in an ethical way. Use it as the mega powerful use it and you are using it in an unethical way. But the power of money itself remains neutral. It does the same thing either way. Electricity can power something to create with as well is it can power something to destroy. Do you see where I am coming from at least? Don't sell yourself short, Max (and others). Don't give away more of your power by buying into a moneyless system like the ZG guys want. It's a mistake. and that's all I will say.
How will we be able to 'help' with aid, on a personal level, people geographically removed from us without currency to do so, such as humanitarian aid and charities? Such power we will no longer have on any personal level. If there is a tsunami or earthquake or drought how would individuals be able to contribute to aid? No money leaves us merely more alone with private survival on planet earth.
Max. I like you. You are a good Man from what I perceive. I think we are out of time though friend. The bio weapon is already in the population. It will run its course. They are spraying right now in Texas. A black substance. Unless there is some wild card in our favor out there, I personally feel its too late. I hope that this observation is wrong.

It is fascism.
gypster2004 2 years ago
yeah, fascism now, not capitalism, fascism destroys cultures in 10 years.... capitalism in a hundred, communism in 50 years..... big deal, as long as we want more than we produce, somebody is slaving his self out for us.
graphattic 2 years ago
I reject the whole idea that if someone prospers that means another must always slave or is taken away from. What is really the ridiculous notion to me is to ask someone to provide for me without an appropriate exchange of some sort - THAT is slavery. And it is the antithesis of non coercive capitalism. To gain a balanced perspective it's wise to study all angles and use your won discernment. I guarantee you would not feel so bad about money if you really knew what goodness it has done for us.
gypster2004 2 years ago
Ahem. I should say demand, not ask. I can ask, but I should never force or demand that another person provide anything for me. It is highly unethical. This is a major problem in the world today.
gypster2004 2 years ago
Right as if I ask, can i murder you, and you say yes, would it make it fair? You swim on the shallows. When a beautiful Russian woman was starving outside Moscow a whorehouse owner and body trafficker asked her "want to get fucked all day through all holes by strangers for a descent salary and a flat?" and the Russian woman replies (Oh yes.). So do you think that demanding, is any different than asking, in the realms of scarcity?
graphattic 2 years ago
I know what money has done for us, but you nimrod did not pay attention that 80% of the forests, 30% of the animals, 50% of the lakes and rivers, and 70% of the fish reserves are either gone or fucked in the period our species experiments with the valuable toilet paper we call money. Are you retarded? Do you think we can afford to toy with money any longer? Labor my friend can not be forged, money can. Labor can not be concentrated in the hands of the few, money can, labor can not be printed.
graphattic 2 years ago
We are now getting into semantics and spiraling into petty insults to prove a point. I am done with this.
gypster2004 2 years ago
I give 7 line comments with a petty insult, and you deduct only the petty insult? Boy, I am not surprised by you thinking I hate the human race. All I was saying is that before marketing, good were acquired on basis of need, not on a basis of a way of living. Before marketing shit reached the people they needed it anyway, now people die of soft drinks because of the excessive marketing. If you think that is hate you are a moron. It is called an observation. I use my birthright powers alright.
graphattic 2 years ago
But we don't live in caves, we are living in civilization. For instance, I am an artist, but if I were still a caveman I'd probably have to use charcoal on cave walls. That was before marketing and production of art materials of higher quality. But now I am able to purchase pencils, oil paints, paper, etc, rather than spend my life finding the pigments and materials myself in nature. The word is CIVILIZATION. If there is no money only ELITES will have art media, unless the STATE rations them.
Solablueangel 2 years ago
Yes, try to check the working conditions of the people that retrieve those materials for you. Today the average art student, produces more toxic waste than ever before. Does that mean our art is better than before?
graphattic 2 years ago
I try very hard NOT to create toxic waste, as far as what I have control over, but I see your point, it's valid! I say that because even if I am careful, it doesn't mean the production processes are. For instance I don't use acrylics because it uses water and the water gets contaminated with heavy metals.
Solablueangel 2 years ago
ps I use pencils quite a bit, and oil paint, and am very careful about used turpentine, etc.
Solablueangel 2 years ago
Of course, and certainly I do harm the environment indirectly too. But imagine a man owning a couple of SUV's and a couple of homes. What does he daily destroy?
graphattic 2 years ago
Cool, but you see the market is free, and not anyone does your choices. And monitoring materials has no point. People should be self-limiting in their actions.
graphattic 2 years ago
And what you are describing when you say 'wanting more than one produces' is over-consumerism. And over-consumerism comes from a credit based society. And with credit comes debt and overproduction of goods that are unneeded. Combine this with fascist meddling in the natural economies of the world and you get the mess we are in today. Cheap and readily available credit to nations and individuals is the culprit here, not the "haves and have-nots".
gypster2004 2 years ago
the ever increasing rift between the "haves and have nots" is a symptom, not the cause. We must all understand this.
gypster2004 2 years ago
Ok....you need for me to go to the details.....
People adapted their food processing according to climate.
graphattic 2 years ago
Jesus Christ. So you would destroy all comforts that humans have invented for themselves, these things were created by human hands and therefore natural. What is wrong with this? Do you hate humanity that much?
gypster2004 2 years ago
Refrigeration is a good thing. I think people are nicer to each other in air conditioning, rather than grumpy in 101 degree heat and a little fan, sweating and cooking over a wood stove.And.. People waste less food when it can be refrigerated. For instance, in grocery stores, the food stays good all seasons.
Solablueangel 2 years ago
To proove the point, the whole fucking Indonesia has no fucking domestic fridges. All goods are daily bought daily eaten. But, the fridges indonesia produces are used by us, the average white trash in the western world. Fair is it not?
Then since westerners had fridges even in cars, then they could pack all the foods of the world, and become obese and die of cancer, while others die of malnutrition. Wake up, to the real world, and stop watching "The Secret" all day......
graphattic 2 years ago
YOU wake up to your own power, and stop whining about victimization and do something with yourself. Power in any form is your birthright (yes this includes MONEY). I've had enough of your belligerence. Goodbye.
gypster2004 2 years ago
Do you want all mankind to be subsistence farmers, hunters and gatherers? You are typing on a computer. That is a benefit of civilization.
Solablueangel 2 years ago
Yeah simpleton. But I am not against civilization. Rationality is my sport. Question one.... does civilization mean aggressive marketing? Does civilization means there is need for products like smarties, coca-cola or 2 flavored chewing gum? Does civilization require anal bleeching? Botox? Silicon Breasts? Does Civilization require polished cars? Tomatoes cut in flower shapes? Do you need a 400.000 Car?
Question 2. Do you thing everything we produce in the form we produce it is civilization?
graphattic 2 years ago
No, we don't need cola, fake boobs, botox, fancy cars, lifted faces, video games, more video games, microwave ovens, music cds, canoes, sleeping bags, stereo speakers, tvs, thick carpets, umbrellas, post it pads, camping tents, earings, dog toys, lawn mowers, etc etc etc. We do need chocolate candy, tho.
Solablueangel 2 years ago
Yes, and al those products do need resources and labour, and research, and graphics, and public relations, and accounting, and loans. And it is stupid, cause all those jobs and resource can be redirected to more meaningful food processing and production, making more room in the economy for beneficial products and healthy profiteering.
But for every darn thing out there there is a fanatic. The problem is not the fanatic. The problem is that once a man is addicted to an ipod we all have to follow.
graphattic 2 years ago
I am typing in a computer, cause that is what I selected to be my tech-expenditure. Yet I own no television, no Aircondition, just winter heating, I own no car, and use public transport. I exchange my owning the computer for bying clothes only to replace destroyed clothes, I do not exchange senseless decorative objects, I do not use an airplane to do business. I do not medicate my self unless absolutely necessary. Hell I do not even have a yard to spend water on it. My job office even is my PC.
graphattic 2 years ago

Is he a caveman?
graphattic 2 years ago
I think that is a wonderful choice your father has made.
Solablueangel 2 years ago
It is, and it keeps him young, but unfortunately, I tend to believe that as much as his choice, it was also a result of his era and childhood and life in the village. The problem is, that people today are brought up with postmodern trends, attached to ipods and tweeters, malls and theme-parks and everperfecting the tools but never the effort, ever increasing the wealth yet not the substance, in a manner that useful productive hobbies and trends are extinct. What happened to garden keeping?
graphattic 2 years ago
My grandmother had a garden. She made home made bread and home made jelly from her own berries. I used to live with husband/kids on 3 acres, and I wish I still lived there because there was room enough to grow our own food, and apple orchards. We grew corn, potatoes, and strawberries. Potatoes are tricky to grow in Illinois. To keep the racoons from eating the corn, tho, we had to play a radio to scare them away. hahahaha My husband's uncle lived a lot like your dad, very simply, but abundantly.
Solablueangel 2 years ago 4
But, my grandmother was also a school teacher. In the classroom were books, paper, art supplies, sissors, blackboards, chalk, flashcards, posters, chairs, tables, desks,... etc, etc. Children came to learn how to be productive educated citizens of civilization. Ha ha...that was before *the powers* called us consumers.
Solablueangel 2 years ago 4
Well then, my whole point is that is civilization as well, and it is being destroyed by other manifestations of our culture, like marketing, stock markets and centralization as well as TV. There is nothing wrong with being civilized, as long as you are flexible enough to employ the best solution known to man, rather than the most profitable solution known to corporations. People have forgotten how good it feels to give back to society. That's why my dad and your gran did not need pills to sleep.
graphattic 2 years ago 3
I for one, try to make some sense out of my life even if our lifestyle underwent an enormous change, as long as there is freedom in it. What you seek and cherish is not freedom, cause that requires responsibility. What you seek is not Freedom, it is a Free-ride, and love aint got nothing to do with it. You prefer your well-being and another's misery.... good for you... survivor.....
graphattic 2 years ago
When you say money is our birthright I wanna puke. Money is the only real devil that will ever exist, cause it requires people to be wise and moral all the time, and that is impossible. What makes morality possible is the burden of your own life. If you want to have, you gotta produce, rather than twit of facebook your ass to death. Morality comes when a car costs as much as a noisy dangerous consuming machine should. A car at 1/10 of the price cause of Chinese labor is indecent shit. Thats all.
graphattic 2 years ago
YOU carry a lot of hate, it's not good for you. Burn your anger before it burns you.
gypster2004 2 years ago
I think very similarly to you, because without money, as the representative of labor, in freedom!, you definitely would be left with CHAOS, and Chaos can't last for long, so the replacement will soon be totalitarianism, where you receive resources based on a committee's decison. No money on earth = Global Totalitarianism. If you think contacting your representative is difficult now, wait and see in the cashless globe how little power you'll have over your life.
Solablueangel 2 years ago
That is why I am wary of a cashless society; it's the easiest way to get what's left of peoples' power out of their hands. the solution lies within each and every one of us, not the abolition of things. Such an action is only ever a misdirection and it never really solves the source issue. the source issue is the virus in 99% of the population about money and personal power. People have given that to psychopaths, unaware of the folly of such a thing.
gypster2004 2 years ago
money is our birthright? Honestly gypster, Im surprised. Money is fake, its paper or digital credits. its stuff we have been conditioned to believe we need in order to access everything that is provided freely for us. Money is a talisman for control, nothing more, nothing less.abundance and prosperity is our birthright, money is a system of control to ensure we are never in the natural state of abundance we are entitled to be in or that if we are, it's usually at the expense of someone else.

This is why I say...
gypster2004 2 years ago
...that money is a birthright, it's natural as a form of trade that is more efficient than barter. Our society could not exist as it is with it's relative freedoms. Please look into natural capitalism and economics, I did and it changed my world. i am no longer in the victim mentality, I understand enough now to do what I can for myself and instruct others how to become independent and reclaim our power - which is the only true way, not continuing to be in the 'victim' mode of consciousness.
gypster2004 2 years ago
You say a lot of good things but I feel you really fall short on the money aspect. Many people nowadays ascribe some sort of character to it when it's inert like water. Your blame is completely misplaced, in my opinion. The blame lies in the individual, not in the whole. It's in the people, not in money. Take money away, and another method of power mongering will emerge, and that is more than likely in the form of authoritarianism, which is really what the psychopaths want. They want to ...
gypster2004 2 years ago
... control what we eat, and when we sleep and poop. See money as a tool to achieve an altruistic end and you are using it ...
gypster2004 2 years ago
.. in an ethical way. It's a mistake. and that's all I will say.
gypster2004 2 years ago
How will we be able to 'help' with aid, on a personal level, people geographically removed from us without currency to do so, such as humanitarian aid and charities? Such power we will no longer have on any personal level. If there is a tsunami or earthquake or drought how would individuals be able to contribute to aid? No money leaves us merely more alone with private survival on planet earth.

ABSOLUTELY. DIVIDE AND CONQUER.
