  • I think i pulled a muscle. I did a split and maybe I didn't stretch as well as usual and it hurts when i do gymnastics or run or any activity and it also hurts when i bend down or kick. Its really bugging me. Is it a pull? and any suggestion on how I can make it better? It has been hurting for sixteen days now and i tried putting ice on it but it didn't help.

  • ok today i was playing ball and i was good the whole time. When i got home all i did was bend my leg and it started hurting soo bad. I couldn't bend it again and i felt a weird pain there.

    (day 3) the pain was completely gone, so im guessing i stretched a little too much

  • ya i think i pulled my mucle i was practicing my splits and i jumped into it cuz i have to and i put my leg cruget and i stoud up and it was all num lol

  • Well this really bites. A doctor told me a strain involves ligaments and a sprain involves muscles.

    No wonder people think I'm not a real health care worker.

    Between Dr. C. and Dr. T, I'm looking more stupid every day.

    Dr. T. taught us a cricothyrotomy procedure and made his incision vertical instead of horizontal and Dr. M., another surgeon, yelled at me for it. Wouldn't even believe when I said Dr. T. taught it that way.

    I always thought a sprain would be worse but a strain, if it involves muscles, could probably be serious too.

  • @vickiormindyb Neither are comfotable, however, a strain has a greater chance of healing faster since it is a muscle and a muscle has more blood flow than a ligament. More blood flow equals more nutrients deliver to area which usually speeds up healing. Be well. Alycia

  • thank you so much for taking time out of your day to respond to me :) fortunately i am better in just 3 days i guess i was so dramatic cuz this was the 1st pain ever in my back but i think its my body that caused this i gained more than 10 lbs after my moms death which was recent i was 120 now im 139 staying home not walking did that smh but i guess the check up showed me i need to take care of myself especially since my greiving is over thank you so much

I suggest beginning slowly by walking and stretching...then increasing your intensity and adding some resistance training.   • i went to the doctor just for a simple check up and he is also a physical theripist so the last thing he made me do was lay down and strech my legs a bit and after i got up i felt a bit different then when i got home i felt a pain in my lower back and its hurting more than ever if i bend down or strech i have no idea if i pulled a muscle in my lower back or if its a knot but i am aware that i havent worked out in months and im around 130 lbs wat do you think i should do?

  • i "sprain " my muscles in my leg and every time i try to do a split it hurts ....

    its like i cant even do it any more . wat r some ways to do a split again

  • @yclove1 the most important component in regaining the ability after an injury is the treatment and therapy you received immediately after the injury. if you didnt have any physical therapy or specific training you might be limited for a while. i would either seek a physical therapist or work with an athletic trainer to determine where you currently are and what course of training would be best for you in order to reach that specific goal.   • @kaitlinms1994 omg i got that to from cheerleading i cant lift it up or sit on the ground or lift it up. it might be ripped. dose it feel bumpy where your leg hurts? that watt mine feels like it hurttt sooo bad !

  • @TheDfi3 yaaa its like that as well it sucks even now that i can walk on it and stuff i tried to do my kart wheel and it still hurts. and when i was doin the splits i heard a loud pop it hurts sooooo bad. is yours better now.
