  • (5:00) Bind these tools to bend the bow to hang the string on it. This process is for making the bow have ultimate elasticity. (5:59) (Bow maker's closing remarks)Korean horn bow is small, has longest range and also beautiful than any foreign bows.

  • (2:26) Pick out the same pattern barks and wipe it. Then brush glue on both of bow frame and bark. Put this bark on bow frame carefully without gap between them. This process protects bamboo-horn connections from getting damp. (3:00) Time to decorate. Put the coloured leathers on the parts where the bow string hangs on. (3:39) Make the grip on a bow. (3:52) Make the bow string in the right length. In the past, we made the string with cattle tendon but let's use synthetic thread instead.

  • i want to learn..

  • AND NOT A DROP OF SWEAT!

  • @mipsterr1 he have AC

  • oh. and the birchbark wrappings for little bit a water resistence

  • whole point is shape the materials in circle and put a glued cow sinew on the out side.

    then bend it backwards.

so it's not just a straight piece of wood with string

it springs with recoil of sinews on bamboo that completely bended backward.

that's where the strength is coming from.

  • smaller than britain long bow but mroe powerful... wow

  • @radgoat no, english warbows are more powerful due to their cross section but these asiatic composite bows shoot faster.

  • Absolutely stunning, I've made several bows, selfbows and laminated, but this is way to intricate. I do believe these bows are #40 draw and shoot very light arrows. Have they made heavy draw bows for war effort?

  • @BigBeerSausage

Head over to china if you want to find the heavy composite bows. There are chineese bows 100 lbs +. some specimen even exeding 200 lbs.
