Don't feel bad. Takes a while to change your Male voice to Female voice at will. Your voice will soften after a while and that cracking effect you hear from changing your Male to Female voice will go away over time.

The friend thing is true, this really shows you who your true friends are. I have had a good experience with friends. I haven't lost any, but this may due to how I pick friends, I am very choosy and you have to have certain qualities. One being you have to tolerate me, moody and very upfront with my feelings. I don't pretend to be anything, well except a guy, did that for 30 plus years. I guess what iam saying is choose your friends wisely.

Your voice sounds good. Here are two things that can help. Raise your pitch and add some intonation. Google search VPiano.swf and dload it.

Try to get your pitch right in the very middle of the keyboard (A3). Then, as you're speaking, raise your pitch 3-4 notes and let it fall back to the middle key again. It sounds like you have your resonance and enunciation figured out.

I'll pass on a tip that I got from Kelsi on the Exceptional Voice channel (tgvoice) - when you are speaking in your feminine voice remember who you are and what you are. Keeping that mental picture of your female self in mind really helps, well it helps me anyway.

Don't give up so quick on your fem voice. It sounds like you may be sqeezing too hard. In the beginning it's all about learning to speak from the head, not the chest. The more you do it, the easier it becomes.

It's hard for me to speak in a lower range now without my voice breaking up.
