I'm a Japanese mother, I think this is a great idea to educate kids about animal and humanity. Most Japanese don't eat dolphin and don't know the fact that a few japanese people actually hunt dolphin and eat them.
Just so you know, "culture" just means "been doing something for a while." It's not an excuse to continue doing something. Slavery was also in our (US) culture for a while. Doesn't mean it was good.
And actually this guy was not making them feel bad about their culture... he was quite nice...
Children seeing the slaughter. Can you believe it? It's like watching a rated R war movie! To sit on the beach and watch the blood and pain in front of you?! I'd be crying hysterically
Very well done, gives me hope for the future. Thank you for doing this Hardy!

I am a japanese. So forgive me if my English is not correct.
I didn't know that we japanese kill and eat dolphin by now.
We recognize dolphin as company or healer,
anything not to eat.
We learned at school that long ago,as Edo period, japanese eat whale meat and use its oil, bones and skins.
But I didnt know this fact. Most of Japanese does not know it like me.
I think we'd better to quit this habit.
But I still wonder why we can eat cow or pig without any blame?
Isnt it double standard?

shame on you for trying to make children feel bad about their culture. Being spoiled is one thing, being an asshole is another.
