  • isn't this convection?

  • you pour a yellow one it think it just sink at 0:27....

and i try a glass of water and i drop a food coloring and i came back after 6 hours after school time....

but the food coloring was at the bottom it didn't make my glass color blue,,,

    ...>.<....

  • the most beautiful event in chemistry. love it

  • it's not diffusion if it sinks.... learn physics please.

  • I hate big words,so I'm just gonna go watch some mento's in coke.

  • Reminds me of the dementors in Harry Potter

  • Here it is, difussion and osmosis . The truth

    ps, great vid , congrats

  • @berarpaul actually this is not osmosis. osmosis implies that diffusion occurs across a membrane. no membrane here.

  • lyu nmn yan men osmosis ba yan

  • lyu nmn yan men

  • gret, add me on facebook, stephen mckenna

  • no diffusion here. That's convection and mixing. Diffusion is something different.

  • Food Coloring

  • You couldn't be more incorrect, and you obviously didn't pay much attention in 6th grade.

  • @emjayare13

so you say to the straight a student... my teacher said it was wrong too

  • @emjayare13 lol i don't remember learing that in 6th grade at all!! xD great vid help me about diffusion =D

  • @emjayare13 LOL!

  • It doesn't just sink to the bottom. It slowly diffuses throughout the volume of water. If you put one drop of blue food coloring in a glass of water, and come back in an hour, the whole glass will be blue. Go ahead, try it. You'll see that both you and your teacher are incorrect.

  • @NewEnglandPrincess You need to pay more attention when people talk.

  • @NewEnglandPrincess Pahahahaaaa. FAAAAIIILLL

  • @NewEnglandPrincess

  • is food colouring soluble in water?

  • Yes it is. Hence why it mixes into the water.

  • on this experiment what was the size of your cup? in measurments

  • thnku (:

  • it's ok

  • Simple, and good.

  • doest turn out clear?

  • wow his video is sooooo cool......

  • hey this is the borest video i've ever seen afer 4:7

  • dont u mean most boring?

  • If you bothered staying in school then you would know about both diffusion and that "borest" isn't a word.

  • Coffee? Milk? What?.....

It's just food-coloring in water, that's all. Nothing special.

  • I really didn't think i had to explain it...

It's just food coloring in water. It's simple diffusion, pretty much self-explanitory.

  • you could show the membrane, to better understand

  • membrane(s) are NOT required for diffusion. Osmosis yes, not simple diffusion.
