The last try was definitely a forward pass before Franks touched it but for a ref to miss that is understandable. This is not a case of cheating, rather a home side (or ref) advantage for borderline calls. Homeside advantage is not just a South African problem, it is common throughout the S14, especially this year. Look at the recent Hurricane- Reds match in Wellington.
The ruling sucks for the Crusaders but such is life. I hope both sides get into the final.
bulls deserved to lose that game, far beyond what that point differential was, bitch all you like south africans, doesn't help when all 4 refs are from south africa and they cost you games, cheating is what SA do best.
Who cheats? Nothing ever goes SA's way from refs or calls.. But when it happens to you all hell breaks loose and you never hear the end of it.. Its time to face the FACTS: NZ no longer is the nuber 1 side in the world. Finish. Call us cheats, call us whatever. Look at the scoreboard (s).
AND sadly NO : if the ball comes off your head, its Not forward. And if you wana be SUUUUUPER technical and get out a ruler, go watch again: the ball was NOT going forward! Allll SA Final!
@MultiGrick so how is it that the bulls should get the feed in the 80th minute scrum? injury time played to full yet its play on, work that one out wanker! crusaders will win final
@MultiGrick - Feel free to name another game this season that had referee's from the same country that was playing...
@mytros1 - Let's explain last year's grand final, where the two dressing rooms were 15 degree's different in temperature, yet not one of you rock spider's "knew" how to turn the heating off in the crusaders dressing room.. How convinient....
it was popped the left... either way, it seems like a pretty stupid occasion to be cheating their way into anything, especially as no-one could give a damn... smartass...
@mytros1 you're right, the All Blacks have scored a few game winning tries off of forward passes, cant argue that. iam not sure how you could see those forward passes but when a South African team does it, you cant see it? you can reference the "semi close-up" camera shot and laws of trigonometry all you want but all your excuses do is highlight your obvious bias, you should try watching the video again .. with both eyes!
@TreeBearOne YOU SHOULD TRY FUKN UP U SOFT COCK... U DUKN KEEFERS ALWAYS TALK BOUT HOW TOUGH U ARE BUT U WHITEYS ARE ALL SHIT JUST BACKSTABBERS... NZ IS THE HARDEST MUTHERFUKERS AROUND
SouthAfricans cheating? Ha! How about the still unexplained penalty after still unexplained injury time during the 80's Springbok tour to NZ that gave the series to NZ?
How about the unceremonious and very intentional spear tackle on John Smit? Not even a yellow card. How fast was the yellow card for van der Heever this Saturday? How about NZ's now well known philosophy to play the ref an not the laws?
@mytros1 How about your dirty filthy eye-gouging, late/high tackling, ear biting players. Six of the filthiest players ever to grace a rugby field; Johan Le Roux (ear biting), Schalk Burger (eye-gouging), Bakkies Botha (head butting), Butch James (head high, early, late and stiff-arm tackles his specialty), James Small (foot-tripping) and Corne Krige (punching, stamping and kicking players on the ground). They were all Springboks.... well surprise surprise!!!
@Gener1KGaming Did you see for example what Crusaders 8 did with the last move? It has been very symptomatic of NZ teams the last two years (look again at Tri-Nations) Playing non-ball carrying players from behind. Cowards. Dirty Rotten.
foward pass ref! it was originally foward and even if the ball was knocked back by 17, it came off the bulls 16 and then 11 got it so it must be a foward pass or knock on
@dongyonion How you can see if a pass was forward from a semi-close up television shot without any points of reference is beyond me and all laws of trigonometry.
The first camera angle is from behind and it makes a straight line seem to angle away .
The second camera angle is from the front which makes everything appear flat.
It seems to me the Crusaders supportersdon't know anything about rugby. They just love winning and now they are not winning any more. Just whinging.
@mytros1 first of all, i am not a crusaders fan. and i am pretty sure that it was initially forward and the second touch by the bulls' player was forward as well. the posession was lost by the crusaders after the forward pass which means it should be scrum to crusaders. nz do have high expectations but we are also fair. south africans? i remember south african eye gouging. is that fair? i dont think so
by definition, a ball is knocked forward if it comes off an arm or a hand. the ball left Maku's hands and hit the hand of a Crusader, knocking it backwards and into the HEAD (which, as far as know, is not part of the arm or hand) of Maku and then back into the hand of the Crusader, followed by the pick up by Hougaard. Legal play as Hougaard was onside as it was open play. Fully legal try, good call touch judge!
Ball was passed back by bulls #16. Ball hit crusader. Ball bounced back into the head of bulls #16. ball then travelled foward and was taken by bulls #11. It cannot have been a knock foward by #16 because it came off his head. #11 is not offside because he was behind #16 when he headed the ball. Therefore it is a fair try.
Easily the best match of the season so far. I thought the Saders had no hope going into it, just shows what a great team they still are, despite their average season.
unlucky crusaders, never mind, the bulls are a very lucky team, one wonders how long it will last. success is only temporary, it's only a matter of time until the bulls are beaten.. maybe in the final?
@RevelatorReplica i may be fucking deaf but iam not fucking blind like you, the vid shows the last thing the ball touched was hitting the bulls #16 in the head before being knocked forward, you can believe the completetly impartial south african referee ruling in favour of the south african team playing in south africa, i will believe what the reply shows
@RevelatorReplica Well if you want the actual rules... He passed it backwards, hit owen franks hand which hit it back into the head of Bulls #16 by which time Bulls #11 is already infront of him, and therefore is actually offside for the pick up. I'll admit its hard for a ref to pick up on that and by no means am I a Crusaders fan but nonetheless, the ref was in the wrong so don't go and abuse people who say the call was wrong.
@Dethragos I been watching it over and over. It seems the ball goes pass - knock back - head - hand - head - catch and score. The last touch from bulls 16 is just before the tackling Crusaders knees touch the floor, at which point bulls 11 seems onside (4:32). I think offside is not the right call.
If I stand on a feild, staionary, and the opposite team throw the ball onto my head while I am not looking, and the ball bounces forward, have I knocked on?
That pass was thrown forward then knocked back by a crusaders player....no try

Another great example of South Africans cheating their way through rugby union.
The ball was going forward, which means it was either Lost Forward, or a forward pass.
Correct ruling is a scrum.
I think it's time we get rid of the cheats from Rugby, and we should start with South African Rugby..
@HoopiesGoThrough - You're a fucking moron, the ball was passed FOWARDS and then hit #17.
Clue up you down synrdome kid

If you want to see forward passes please take a look at the 1998 to 2006 All Blacks games. Especially the last pass of almost every try scoring move.

Look at ball when he releases it, in regardless if it hit the players head, the ball was originally going to be a foward pass!
