  • thanks, I'll try that! @rockanthems

  • I think that a stratocaster must sound wonderful in this amp,,,regards!

  • Great job of recording Thanks for the Post!!!

  • Too much artificial sounds,,,I think the amplifier is good, but the guitar,,,

  • @pablocruzatcruzat Way way better option than those multi-effect cheap pedals. This amp is real clean and real PRO for recording.Doesn't get any better than this amp for variety of choices

  • Did you ever get a lot of hum when you weren't playing, but just chilling with the guitar plugged in? I have one and it hums like crazy on any overdrive.

  • @craigstutzman I have one ,too .There are Hum redux and noise gate on it.Usually no hum at all.I bought one used and it hummed bad,but I pulled off the knobs and all the nuts behind them were loose .That solved the problem.

  • Does it say what amp the Vintage Stack is emulating? Nice demo by the way.

  • @homersimps There's a selection of Presets for stacks Modern, Vintage, etc. But you can program the whole signal chain yourself to find that sound you're looking for. I'm guessing the 'vintage' is a Marshall JCM800.

The amp suits Combos best (as it is one!) at decent volumes, however, it pulls of stacks very well when computer recording.

  • Hey nicknackski, thank you for taking the time to put together the video. Nicely done on the recording - I wondered how you captured the stereo field so well. Anyways I have a Cyber Twin SE myself. I am looking at building a second cab with a 1 X 12 to spread out the sound a bit for concerts. I have not tried it yet. Have you tried the outputs into other cabinets to see how it sounds? My hunch is if it sounds as good as it does with a combo setup it would sound outrageous w/ a stereo cab set!

  • @cybertubefactor Hi, I miked up with two Shure SM57's to the outside of each speaker. i also recorded the SPDIF Digital signal. then i mixed them together. hence capturing a dry signal and the speaker cabinet. If you haven't got anywhere to record at volume you could just record the SPDIF digital out and use a decent cab plugin in such as audioease cabinet.

I haven't tried another cab so i cannot comment on any other setup :-)

  • Very Nice demo.

  • good review... less yak, more demos, ...they should all be like this

  • day tripper really bad!

  • @SCOPOtuaMADRE errr Thanks? Ha, was just messing around i've never even played that riff before just made it up as i went along. (badly obviously)

  • hello

how much are these worth? i have a chance to buy one for $575 with the cyber midi foot controller...is that worth it?

  • @bigblockelectra That a bargain. i've just sold mine for £625 without foot controller. Buy it. they're excellent

  • Hi, yes you're right. Just a second hand variax 600. still available new for about £449

Just though this Amp with no post processing.

The Amp is for sale if you're interested.

I don't need it anymore as i only make computer music.

However, it sounds great and is wasted just sat around in my home!

  • Hallo !I'm interesting about the Amp!How much is the price?

  • Hi, Montiac22 Its a Variax guitar nothing but fender presets. However, you can change the model of guitar on the variax for example jazz guitar to Tele. what settings i used are listed in the example titles.
