i really like the animation for this series!! :)) its a bit more cartoony but still realistic and adheres to the tenchi series esthetics. when i was a kid and first watched it, i didn't like it as much because everyone looked a little bit different but, now i realize its more original :D

Wow. Looking back, I forgot how stupid I was to never notice the loose and extremely over-the-top animation used in this version of Tenchi.

And that in itself was the hook that drew me in to watching more and more of it.

Cartoon Network, like everything else, you are going to fail, and ditching Toonami just to make your shoddy Network look better by comparison was the straw that broke the camel's back.

If this is the series where tenchi becomes a space pirate then they did get it cause i saw it on Toonami around the year 1999. it goes tenchi universe then tenchi in tokyo i belive. i have watched every episode of univers but when this season aired on toonami i saw only a few episodes. if i remember corectly the tenchi seies aired around the time of the goku Freeza battle on DBZ and this got me hooked on the series.
