@tecboy789 The camera is crap because the camera is crap. It's stated that this camera is supposed to be a 12 Megapixel camera. It is clearly not when you look at it. Before taking this video I was testing it in a perfectly lit room and it still sucked.
@mrfanofsonic I got this same camcorder for xmas and its crap for me as well. Indoor or outdoor I get multicolored bands across the picture, the sound quality is awful with a constant white noise hiss that drowns out other audio, and it constantly has card errors, even after formatting the sd card. Customer service told me that you can't use a card larger than 4G in it or the picture and sound will suffer, and they are right- it works worse with my 16G class 10 than with my 4G class 4. Stupid.
@DdraigX Yeah, thats what customer service told me, and I tried it out. Sure enough, the sound and picture are better on the 4G class 4 than the 16G class 10. The sound still sucks (but not as much) with the smaller card in, although the picture is remarkably better. If you look at the latest video I posted on my channel, those are the best results I've been able to get out of it. I've decided I'm boxing it back up, returning it and picking up a kodak zx5, which actually delivers on its claims
@Mrfanofsonic I tried this camera in much better lighting than this earlier in the day. It was also the second one to do the same thing. And I turned off all the light adjustment, tried every setting possible. This camera was made to make a quick buck, not to sell a quality affordable price. My digital still camera that can do video for the same price I paid is 10x better.
this camera pissed me off too. Toshiba Camileo S30 test HD is less expensive and full HD 1080p. i think imma take the vivitar back and get something worth it. vivitar = false advertising ... fking pricks...
@nowurine Yea I was looking forward to it as an early christmas present but :P didn't work too well... Just looked up the Toshiba looks interesting and a decent price range. Although I found this watch?v=cISQjJrWRDQ and the quality is noticeably different. Guess I'll keep looking.
the video quality is crap because your lighting is even more crap!!! The key to good quality is good lighting

@Carnivalcarl Are you serious? You have to have a class 4, 4 gb and nothing bigger for it to work? I had a class4 8gig in it. that's pretty stupid.
