V Tech was supposed to win. NU was ranked lower than you. Given, it was a thriller, but with the "win is a win" philosophy it shouldn't matter. You beat a team you were supposed to beat. If you would have beat NU by 30 you would not have rushed the field. Have some class. You didn't see NU rush the field against OU.
it was a very good game, Huskers can say that it was a td, which it was, all we want, but it doenst change the fact that in response to that call we racked up 30 yards of penalties and blew a huge coverage. maybe we did outplay them stat wise, but they beat us on the board and that is the final decision maker. It was an all around good game and we lost, unfortunate but true, good game. congrats on beating miami btw...hopefully we can take OU down
We did take OU down! I agree on this game our offense caused us to lose all our games this year. I think it was a great year though considering how much we improved as a team (not offense but there still young) but we will be good next year. Pelini is the next Osborne I believe and we have many good years ahead of us. Suh put this program out there too! Go Big Red!

About once every two years or so. Last year, we did not storm it at all. The year before that we stormed it once, when Beamer beat Bobby Bowden for the first time. The year before that, we stormed when we were unranked and beat #10 Clemson. The year before that, none. And in 2004, we actually got a chance to storm the feild twice: once when upset our rival #6 West Virginia, and once when we clinched at least a share of the ACC title by beating UVA. In '95, we actually stormed UVA's stadium, lol.

Sorry but rarely does classless and VT go in the same sentence. We rushed the field against FSU when we were ranked better, and it was because we had not beat them in a long time. Like sixteen years or so. Its about being happy about a win, just feel complimented that we deemed a victory over Nebraska rushable, thats proof enough we respect how good you are. Neb fans were cricket silent and VT fans were screaming themselves hoarse.

Thats just it. We've never won a game like that at home. All of our last minute wins have always come on the road. I guarantee the kids wouldn't have rushed the field had we been winning all day. It was just an amazing release of emotion because of the finish.
Only problem is, we haven't. Not at home at least. You may recall 2007 vs. Boston College? Well we're still bitter about that game. This felt great to finally see it go the other way.

Not at all. Only if they storm the field, thats where the embarrassment comes from. it was a good win but the storming the field was unnecessary. Gotta act like they've been there

Thats just it. We've never won a game like that at home. All of our last minute wins have always come on the road. I guarantee the kids wouldn't have rushed the field had we been winning all day. It was just an amazing release of emotion because of the finish.

Only problem is, we haven't. Not at home at least. You may recall 2007 vs. Boston College? Well we're still bitter about that game. This felt great to finally see it go the other way.
