Honestly the lexus ls, BMW 7, and merc s are all great cars in their own ways. I prefer mercedes (and had a 2004 c240 that was a fantastic car until it saved my life with it's sturdiness in a side impact with a dump truck) and always will. I do dislike the rear end on this particular generation though. I still love the wrapping triangle rear lights.

For me the BMW 750 LI is better. Its more elegant, attractive and suit, not to mention the power to fuel efficiency ratios it has. But go ahead, give me a thumbs down for expressing my opinion. being that as human beings, we hate what is different.

I do still prefer the S-Class. No Bimmer turns heads at the club like a Benz, and they actually are pretty similar in acceleration and economy, despite the advantage in torque and power in the 750. Then there's the interior, which material and detail wise is just the best in class.

I tend to agree. Lexus makes very good cars on many "logical" levels, however MB S-Class just has that certain air about it. It is the pinnacle of big, swooshy, black German executive autobahn cruisers. Personally, I am more of a BMW and Jaguar guy on a brand level (I am associated with BMW, as well) but I really do think that Mercedes has some tremendously good product very comparable to BMW, Jag, and Audi. But they are all very different. The Japanese cars are good, but not special.

The Mercedes S-Class is the best car in the market in terms of what you get for your money. The S550 alone, is a very nice car. Its like a sports car when your driving, but it can also be a limo when you are being chauffered. S-Class is the best.

Audi A8 is nice, but not flashy

When you look at the specs, the Lexus LS is better engineered than the S-class. Equal power from a smaller engine, better gas mileage, etc. The MB and BMW are for those who are trying to project a certain image. No matter how much the competition does, the MB and BMW will always be the best b/c that's how people perceive them. But more intelligent people aren't as preoccupied with image. That's why I've found the most arrogant unintelligent people driving MBs and BMWs.

I test drove one today to replace my 5 series. It was truly the most remarkable car I have ever driven. It took me just minutes to figure out the command system. When I was finished, I actually felt more relaxed than I had in days! Stunning!

1)Mercedes and BMW just recently had a good PROFESSIONAL website goin. Few years ago i checked it was ghetto. Lexus was up and running pretty.

2)My experience at Lexus dealers vs Merecedes dealer. Mercedes = rush to sell, Lexus = welcome. C class vs TL. TL. 3series vs TL. TL. Lex IS vs TL. TL. Im not bias, i go looks, luxury, technology & features. Simple truth. Yes you guys are fans. But when i look at the website of the 06 TL and LS460. My goodness!! LS460>S550

Lexus LS realy is one of the best cars out there, not only in the class. But if you drove a Merc you will understand why they say there's only to makes of cars - Mercedes and the rest. 90's were the end of overengenering of mercs, but you know what - from Stuttgard did their homework. The S-class is the best car out there. Things like bluethooth as an optional does not make a car worse. I think that the prices could be a little cheaper, but it doesn't matter once you get in the car.

S550 is a pretty car, and it will have a lot of fans. It always will. Hell GL and GX looks great. But stop bashing Lexus in the reviews comparing it with Hyundais and stuff hahaha. Geessh. I made fun of a Mercedes S550 driver in my Lexus LS460L which parkied itself. Then i let the car drive itself, then had a massage and reclined the seats with leg rested. I had air purifiers and Mark Levinson to ease my ears. Lexus is TRULY amazing since its introduction in 1990. No competition!
