  • wow that is pretty narrow for that speed of traffic... and its kind of fitting that right after a speed advisory for the curve, a hummer zooms by you, that aggressiveness is why there are accidents when theres no tolerance for stupidity on there.

  • A lot of the aggressiveness and accidents are on the south side of the bridge, where they've created a passing lane on the right hand side.

Two blocks from the bridge, a right lane opens up.. only to turn into a merge back onto the bridge. The more aggressive drivers pass on the right, cut people off, then switch back to the 'fast' lane.

  • should have drove in the left lane to show how dramatic the proximity to oncoming traffic is.

  • Kimchiman has a video where he did that.

  • (visiting after Globe&Mail article) Doesn't look that bad at all actually. I guess the real problem is that BC drivers are generally incompetent and don't know the width of their vehicles. But I never would have guessed that any part of that bridge is made of wood.

  • Great bridge..

    Thanks for the ride..

  • I think one major flaw of the Patullo bridge is that they create a right hand passing lane two blocks from the bridge, so anyone in a rush just goes on the right, steps on the gas, and cuts people off at the bridge entrance.

They should make the last block of the right lane exit to the perimeter road to get rid of right hand passers.

  • On video that bridge doesn't look too bad, but damn are those lanes ever tight when you're trying to go around the corner.
