Guam is its own little world. Many that relocate to the island from the mainland expect it to be the same, but they are taken by surprise when they see how things are run on the island. Guam is a blend of many peoples and influences. You must be very open minded in order to adapt well. I wish you the best.

Ok, first a Chamorro lesson for you: Chamorro doesn't form possessives like Spanish, English, Japanese, etc... we have suffixes which are affixed to the noun. "-hu" 1st person singular "-mu" 2nd person singular "-ña" 3rd person singular "-ta" 1st person plural (inclusive) "-måmi" 1st person plural (exclusive) "-miyu" 2nd person plural "-ñiha" 3rd person plural Eg.: "tano'-hu" = "my land" "karetan-måmi" = "our (not yours) car" "eskuela-ta" = "our (yours too) school"
