Batman Beyond had very cool art design but shitty stories. Joker suriviving to the future though Tim Drake's mind, Terry McGuiniss (or however it's written) being Bruce Wayne's bastard son through a DNA experiment, Bruce Wayne being alive at 120 years, all pure crap.
Actually I liked the return of the Joker storyline although I didnt like the ending.
The Bruce Wayne's Son, storyline was actually from an episode of the Justice League (and I agree that was a really stupid plot twist) and DC has a history of taking liberties with how long people live, so you can just forget about that part.
I think Batman Beyond was a very worthy successor to the Batman animated franchise.
@ToasterPig I think the only good animated Batman story after the great 90s series has been Batman: Gotham Knight, which was very original and respected Batman's escence. Batman Beyond, the series simply known as The Batman, the movie Batman Superman: Public Enemies, and Batman: The Brave and the Bold were mediocre and way too childish. What I loved about the 90s series is that both children and adults could enjoy it, even I got frightened sometimes when I was a kid.
@ToasterPig Batman Beyond failed in only one detail in continuity. Barbara Gordon can walk, when in the original comics she became a handicap thanks to Joker's shot in her back. I know The Animated Series couldn't tell a chapter about The Killing Joke because it's too hardcore for kids, but I would have liked to see her in her wheelchair in Batman Beyond.
@ToasterPig, Batman Beyond gets points for doing a great job of telling the story of the next person to hold the mantle of Batman, without it being corny and contrived, they kept Bruce in the loop and explained why Bruce was so unigue compared to Terry, and vice versa, while also explaining what happened before Batman called it quits and even why he called it quits, seeing Batman have to pick up a gun to defend himself was a great and even sad reason for him to quit.
@Mazmorrero2, While the logic of how Joker was able to survive to the future is up for debate, I thought the ROTJ story was one the best DC animated had to offer, it was great that Joker was able to scar Batman in the DC universe, doing something worse than just killing Batman or Robin, but hitting a real nerve in "Joker Fashion" seeing Robin as "JJ" was creepy and shocking
@TheDalinkwent What Joker did in ROTJ is nothing compared to what happened in Death in the Family and The Killing Joke, now those are really shocking events dude.
@Mazmorrero2, I meant in the context of the DC animated Universe, of coarse what Joker does in the Killing Joke is more shocking, but in the confines of a cartoon, the kidnapping of Robin, which he is then driven insane through torture and many unknown methods to be turned into "Joker Jr" is pretty shocking, like I said for a cartoon aimed at kids, this was pretty cool, if it was live action it wouldn't have garnered a pulse, but the storys you mentioned were shocking in any form.

Why does Superman always walk face first into trouble only to get his ass handed to him? In five Superman movies he always walked up to Lex Luthor, smug as Hell and Lex...to no one's surprise other than Superman, he had a trap set for him and should have killed him several times over.

No it is just the Justice League from the time of Batman Beyond. As as the original Batman was part of the JLA the "new JLA" also wanted to recruit the new Batman

I already find out that this episode is just a crossover introdusing JLA.and it doesnt make part of the original animated Batman storyline.

Well it is suppose to make sense since batman is in the DC universe and did join the Justice League for sometime. He probably bailed on the team later on.

Barda is a Jack Kirby character of 'The New Gods, also Wife of 'Mr. Miracle'.
She is simular to Wonder Woman, ageless and powerful--once fought Wonder Woman to a draw-- altho Barda uses boot discs to fly....and is moodier.
I think she was a good choice to put into the next JLA line up..the Kid Green Lantern is a nice change, too.

@sephron17 Big Barda is a classic JLA member, she was originally supposed to lead the Darkseid's Female Furies but fell in love with Mr. Miracle and escaped Apokolips. They both eventually join JLA.

Why does Superman always walk face first into trouble only to get his ass handed to him? In five Superman movies he always walked up to Lex Luthor, smug as Hell and Lex...to no one's surprise other than Superman, he had a trap set for him and should have killed him several times over.
