  • nick masons party piece the radio

  • the radio is tuning in songs by

    rolling stones

    pink floyd???

    draw

    classical music

"SARATOGA AVENUES IN SAN JOSE" thats near me!!! toobad they didnt get the beginning of it.

  • beginning of first verse they laugh and make mistake...1:22 flub, laughter, flub

  • I wonder how many times Pink Floyd switched the radio dial to do the intro to Wish You Were Here and heard one of their songs on the local radio sation. They are so fuckin' cool.

  • so ridiculously hot

  • Who´s playing the rythm guitar during Gilmour´s solo?

  • @Semente200

    I think:

    rythm = Gilmour

    solo = Snowy White

  • @Semente200 snowy white

  • @Semente200 john lennon

  • my first concert was animals at oakland indoors. i still have the ticket stub and it says may 9 1977. are you sure its april 9. i know i was only a senior and was 18. thanks

  • @toydwth66 you are right, i rode in wikipedia: that shoy was may 9

  • @toydwth66 THAY PLAYED A CUPLE A CONCERTS AT OAKLAND MAY 9 10 SO COULD BE TWO CONCERTS HAVE TO ASK GLEN POVEY

  • Is this Snowy Whites' solo or David's? I am a bit confused......

  • @KvRvfx is david

  • @KvRvfx sounds like snowy , sure its him

  • at the end a part of you cant always get what you want was playing

  • Can't wait to see Roger Waters The Wall Live! Got my tickets, December 6 San José!

  • their voices are UNTOUCHABLE!!!!!!!!!

  • Roger and David are laughing at 1:23-128

  • Dave HAS NEVER had issues with sharing his spot with musicians he felt were competent. Roy Harper sang the original lead vocals on the studio version and he let Tim Renwick handle many of the solos on later tours. Roy probably did the guitar work as well. Snowy had a different style and Dave .

  • Grrrreaaaat! Thanks for posting this track! I'd have given my eye teeth to be there to see it live!

Anyway - anyone know what radiostation the jingle is for that occurrs at around 6:32?

Sounds something like 'Radio Number 7...' but I wondered what came after that...

    Cheers!

  • Fantastic.

  • this song sounds so amazing live, my favorite version of "have a cigar" other than the solo which would've sounded better with gilmour.

  • holy shit ive commented on this video so many times and listened to it a bunch but the FM radio bit at the end plays You Cant Always Get What You Want by the stones?!!?!?!?!?!?! how cool!!!! just noticed that.

  • What you heard was the beginning of Wish You Were Here. At every stop on the tour, Nick would have hold of a radio and would flip through the local stations for a minute or so before the first note of WYWH.

  • AND IF I TELL U THE NAME O0F THE GAAAAAAAAAME...I????.....what is the gravy train???

  • @kinbalxel

the train you can't miss ;-)

  • 4:18 to 4:30, major ownage.

  • Why are Dave and Roger Laughing?????

  • I heard that Roger was making weird faces at Dave and Dave started Laughing which caused Roger to laugh.

  • I wonder why David let Slowy White solo on this song. Davids style is so much better. And the album solo is so tight!

  • Great riff!

  • i love this version does anybody know how i could get a copy of this recording besides a torrent?

  • Take the video and convert it to an MP3.

  • how do i do that?

  • download ARES program. I downloaded entire show few months ago by this program....... it's the easiest way

  • @pinkpigsheep1977 try a blogspot

  • @MarkJFloyd IV GOT FOUR ORG DOUBBLE CDS WITH BOOKLETS

  • They way waters and gilmour are singing, they sound as high as kites.

  • LOL! I read what you said seconds after I turned and said it out loud to my husband. They didn't sing it, Roy Harper did, but I think -- if they got over their giggles, and remember their own words, they could do this easily ;o)

  • i thought one of the key boardist Sung this song........

  • no, roger waters(bass)

  • slaps you! no its not Waterst!! lol its Roy Harper! come on now! were are my REAL Floyd Fans at?!?

  • Roy harper sang vocals on the studio version because Roger strained his voice the day before recording. Roger sings on this version. I do a killer Roger impersonation by the way.

  • Is that Snowy White on lead guitar here? Even if it is I like to listen anyways.... But WTF? Why would Dave not have done it?... I like to hear Roger and Dave laugh at the start.

  • yo ima get so many thumbs down on this but whtever i dont give a fuck. Snowy White fuckin sucks yo goddamn. He completely destroys songs. check out tht first vid in the related videos, "Pink Floyd Have a Cigar New York 1977" He sounds even fuckin worse.

Pink Floyd is absolutly amazing tho.

  • no i think you got it spot on

  • thank you!

  • actually some shredder asshole collage kid overdubbed over that ive version of Have A Cigar and claimed it was Snowy White. I like Snowy alot btw, but he aint no Gilmour.

  • thats really great to know, i actually thought that was snowy on the new york version. thanks so much for clarifying.

  • both david and roger were laughing! I think rog has mistaken some lyrics. Oh it was the old good times (rog and dave friends)!!!!!

  • I am about to download a collection of about 100 or so Pink Floyd boots. The file size is like idk 9 gigs.

  • Shut the fuck up!

  • Jesus we all know this! Do us all a favor and stop saying the same old thing!

  • If you already knew, then how would my not saying make your life any les miserable than it already is?

  • I do not live a miserable life. I just find it weird that you spread this one sentence to a ton of Floyd songs here.

  • stupid cunt.

  • Yes?

  • conosco

  • dude why the fuck do yu bother of course they wrote dogs its a wickid song

  • Because people at my school are very uneducated. They think "The Wall" is the only music Pink Floyd made. I'm spreading the gosple of "Dogs". Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs". Goodbye.

  • Well, if people are commenting on a Pink Floyd video, there's a good chance they are fans of the band. And if they're fans of the band, they already know who wrote Dogs.

So you're preaching to the choir and being horrendously annoying at the same time. You're not educating anyone from your school here on YouTube. Sorry.

  • Whatever!

  • How erudite.

  • both of you shut up its pink floyd!

  • LOL

  • @feverspell Pink floyd wrote dogs you ****

  • @coopa97434 Where did I say they didn't, you buffoon? Try reading all the comments before making yourself look stupid, you silly child.

  • @feverspell you're the silly child

  • @feverspell LET IT ROLL MAN...GUYS LIKE PINK'S SHOULD INSPIRE A DREAMY MUSICAL FUTURE ANYWHERE AND ANYWAY

  • 2 years ago...the thoing that guy does "PInk floyd wrote dogs" is old and someones idea of a joke...

  • When he said snowy white did the solo did he mean snowy white from thin lizzy. Was david gilmour not there or something

  • snowy white did a lot of backup playing during the animals tour and on songs where say the guitar rift and a guitar solo are going on at the same time.

  • Gilmour was there, but Snowy was playing back up guitar through the tour and Dave wanted to split lead guiatr duties a bit. I guess he felt White played it better.

  • Have had this boot for YEARS. First as an album with pictures on it of a woman covered in whipped cream and an ice mountain rising from the toilet, then as a CD. I LOVE the '77 tour (both for PF and LZ). I've got maybe 5 or 6 shows from this tour and this is the finest. They are actually having a ball out there! What the fuck happened guys? RW megolamania I suppose. Its killed many a good band before. Beatles, CCR, CSNY ect. Can't we all just get along for the sake of the music?

  • I heard something that this was one of the bests nights during the In The Flesh 1977 tour. So they're probably having fun up there and that's why it's considered a great night.

  • it just sounds like there having fun they sound like there having blast

  • whats with the laughing at 1:20 ish?

  • I don't know. Maybe David remembered something funny that happened earlier.

  • that was roger laughing

  • No it wasn't, because it was going on at the same time Roger was singing.

  • they were both laughing
