See THIS is how you do it. You WAIT and let the tension build up. This was in May and WM was April 1st. If it was todays wrestling they wouldve done this on Raw the night after.

This is my biggest peeve with todays wrestling. They dont let tension build and they dont prolong feuds. In todays wrestling feuds are over in a month so I find it hard to care about todays feuds.

Piper is(IMO)the greatest heel of them all. His showmenship was I would say equal to Bobby Heenan,certainly different styles and motives,but still always entertaining.Todays talent is far different as heels/faces go.But these are different times.Wrestlers of those days were "wrestlers first,actors second" today its the other way around.Back then,people use to pay to watch rivals have matches,today, people pay to watch them talk for a half hour.Piper of 20 years ago would fit in well today.

While watching this head to head promo you can feel the emotion in Piper's voice. You cab feel the emoyion in Orndoff's. The wrestlers believed what they said and did back then. The wrestlers today are extremely monotone. The don't feel the vital points they express to the audience. I watch a promo today and feel the emotion of the wrestler today.
