Ninjas were only assassins ... their garb, their weapons, everything are just for night assassinations. They blend into the night, they throw pointy things and kill a target. Samurai are actual warriors.. in a 1v1in the daytime I believe a samurai would win only because he has armor and is an experienced warrior. In the night he would only have to find out where the ninja is but I'd still bet on the samurai.
