  • ,This is an Angel on trainning to be singing in heaven, One of many Angels

  • Sometimes I feel that she is famous for her outward beauty than her vocal one(or lack thereof). Beautiful song though, it's one of my favorites but, in my opinion, Renée Fleming sings it with much more feeling.

  • Bellisima mujer y bellisima voz y bellisima composocion.

  • I don't feel it when she sings

  • Stop drinking and smoking!!!!! Everytime I hear the masterpiece performance in Russian stage all the people in the background is always cough cough cough cough cough and cough, so fucking annoying!!!

  • how is this copying Callas? Netrebko has this heavy voice like a 50 years old woman singing. She is big but Callas sung it with such nobility and lyricism that it is ages superior than this.

  • wow you shoudl stop whining and listen to the music, look whats happening to music nowadays ! There can be no divas anymore. so stop complaning and enjoy what you have !

  • Anna Netrebko - Callas twenty-first veka.Ee female beauty competes with the beauty of her voice.

  • Renee Fleming reigns

  • @hazelssister my feelings exactly :)

  • good singing, but her face look like she wants to hurt people :)

  • I don't like this at all.

If only Maria Callas was still alive, sigh...

  • @romaitalia29 Maria Callas was the bright Star in her Time-1950-1960ies.

On her Comeback early 1970-73 she was a Disaster compered with her early singing.

Anna is Anna and has no Intention to Copy la Callas. Cherio

  • @MrMusikkenner I prefer her even in the 70s to any of today's sopranos, believe me. The passion was still evident, as was her charisma and intense beauty without being overtly sexual unlike others. Cheerio.

  • @MrMusikkenner

Of course Netrebko isn't a copy of Callas. For that she would acutally have to have talent.

  • Anna Netrebko has an amazing beautiful big voice, but I think she is trying painstakingly too hard to interpret her classical singing performance into a modern/contemporary stage interpretation. It's going out of the compound! Actually, the best way is to understand the style of the music genre and put everything in their right place with her great musicianship and voice!

  • terrible

  • Just Beautiful .

  • Beautiful, in all respects. Netrebko and Puccini.

What an incredible performance. Do you suppose if I spoke Russian I'd have a chance?

    Thanks for this

    -Bill in Canada

  • @baghend What a Beautiful Woman and her Voice......dream..

No, i think you have no Chance, not even speaking Russian, neither have I..sad...sad...

  • @MrMusikkenner You're right- It IS sad. Oh well...I'll have to be content with seeing performances like this one, and dreaming.

But isn't she just stunning? An the joining of incredible talent and great beauty.

    And I have neither.

    How fair is that?

    -Bill

  • @baghend Hello to Canada. Life is not Fair! But we still can dream..

We have been many Times to Canada, our Friends living in Abbotsford-1Hour from Vancouver. Have a great Weekend.

  • @MrMusikkenner Wonderful- though that's on the other end of the country from me- about 4000K away. I'm in the Great Lakes region.

    Where are you Mr. Musikkenner?

  • @baghend Hello well,i am about 9000KM away from you-i live in Germany. Anna was her last August in Berlin-but the Tickets were about 250-300$ -to much for me..

  • @MrMusikkenner Yes hello! You were closer than I'll ever get- and that would be way too much for me as well. We'll have to be satisfied with utube I think.

I've been watching and reading of the Eurozone developments, Britains self imposed isolation, and Germany's responsibility now for so much of the rebuilding.

I have some family in the States and things are deteriorating rapidly there, esp. for the working class. Of which I am one.

What is your opinion of it all?

    billdesmond@hotmail.com

  • @baghend Hello Bill. I try to send you some Opinion of mine about your Questions. But the Mail returns with that >adress billdesm....??

  • @MrMusikkenner Just saw your info- we are fellow retiree's- I'm a retired Fire Fighter and Nuclear electric plant operator.

That was my real email address- and I'm not sure how to contact through utube as I'm rather new to it all.

Are you optimistic about the EZ and Germany's role in it all? The whole world will be affected if things go sour- I think the States is i a depression though they deny it -certainly it is for many workers who have lost jobs, and the many poor.

    -Bill

  • baghend Hello Bill.I try to send you a Answer to your last Mail. It keep coming back. Dont know why. Do you have another Mail Adress?

  • Simply Divine!

  • this is the mature interpretation. powerful.

  • It's such a shame that you can't purchase this. iTunes needs to take a note.

  • Wow, she's great!

  • I have chills! I can't even control it.

  • The best version i have heard so far! Does anyone know if this is available as an MP3?

  • Wunderbar....

  • Why do I get that feeling that this was play back?

  • Making this "little" Puccini the "Funft" of Richard Strauss Vier Letze Lieder, Anna Netrebko demonstrate that she's EVEN the definitive Mahler-Strauss singer. She can sing everything from Monteverdi to Bach, from Schumann to Wagner to New Music. I wish her more Bayreuth and less Hoffenbach in the future.

  • Netrebko is the best soprano of the decade! Washington post

  • Stunning. Best version I've ever heard of this song.
