@matrox I'm not familiar with those regulations. I'll have to look into it. I personally would not buy a Toyota only because they no longer are available with a solid front axle. A truck that is the size of a RAM 2500 should have that option I believe. If they came put with a solid front axle HD truck and came out with a reliable diesel then they will be hard to compete with I believe. Good truck + American jobs is a plus in my book. With an IFS front end though I wouldn't buy it though.
i have a 2011 tundra limited. all i can say its the best truck ive had and ive had chevy and i had dodge . ive had 2 chevy dump trucks and had problems with both and my dodge truck was good id buy another but this is way better in my OPINION! if they made a dumptruck its the one id buy

I have a 2007 Toyota tundra I buy it use for 25k and I'm taking about 70000 miles on it.. and 1,1/2 later the truck still value in the same amount or even more almost 30k . And I'm not BS. KBB value.. any other truck by now probable the value be around fucking 16-19k I have a 4 doors lather and all costume 2005 chevy silverado before my Toyota and I love it but I try Toyota and I love it even more. I just bought a toyota tundra, I test drove all of the north american units used and new. Most had engine lights on doors didn't close properly, shaking, headlights not working ect. I really bought what was best. sorry folks. oh and the tailgate I loaded my 650 quad on it and drove it 25km into the bush without any issues.

When it came out, it was a great truck, but very shortly after that it became outclassed by everyone else and is considered outdated and old news by most standards or magazines

Silverados have the best MPG, better tourqe, higher ground clearance, and they are known for lasting a very long time.

Personally, I feel the Tundra is the best value in pickups you can get, and has the best engine available. Gm has the diff locker and the most power in the 6.2L V8. Dodge has...Well, they have coil overs!! LOL. Ford has the strongest frame. Again, all trucks have their pros and cons. The new Tundra is impressive, but I'll leave it at that.

i was talking to a guy i know @ work 2day and we were discussing trucks -cuz i only fuck with trucks- & i said i had my mind set on a 2010 dodge ram 3500 heavy duty 6.7L cummins turbo diesel & he said it's a great car & all but it'll eat the hell outta gas plus i think i'll end up paying about $2000 more for the name alone -Dodge. he suggested a foreign truck like a toyota, nissan, or honda b/c of fuel consumption & mpg. y ele is a tundra probably the better way to go?

I see them broken down all the time on the side of the road. i had a friend who bought a new chevy silverado and after 50,000 miles, the transmision was shredded. I just bought a toyota tundra, I test drove all of the north american units used and new. Most had engine lights on doors didn't close properly, shaking, headlights not working ect. I really bought what was best. sorry folks. oh and the tailgate I loaded my 650 quad on it and drove it 25km into the bush without any issues.

@guinmaan nope we've hauled skidsteers on trailer, concrete breakers, loader shovels, concrete manhole liners on tundras - not a problem on the 1/2 ton and definitely the 3/4 tons. my own truck isn't used for hauling much but checking out the site, but hey it's a great site truck and for around the city. ford is an ugly ass truck. i wouldn't park that redneck trailer trash on or near my property.

(i realized that could be your come back when) i entered the 3/4 ton part too quickly but meant to say the 5.7L handles as well as any 3/4 ton. i use to drive the Fucked150 (which had a 2009 recall, a 2008 recall, 7 2007 recalls, etc.).you'v never driven a Tundra ..end of debate

Toyota makes good stuff but ford has really improved its game. New ford trucks are stronger than Toyota trucks. New ford my-touch is better navigation than any lexus, mercedes and bmw navigation. You should really look into new ford tech. You will be surprised that ford has better tech than anyone else industry. @MrThefactis Its not me that thinks Toyota is better than ford. Its drivers all over the world. Toyota sales have increased over last 20 years and ford has lost sales. Ford ceo things toyota has build better cars in past and he is turning things around. Ford ads state that they have SIMILAR quality to Toyota. Motor trend, Car and driver, JD power have rated Toyota best long term quality decades. Trust me ford killed itself when it build cars like pinto. Hopefully ford can do a u turn.

@MrThefactis I think you need to go to a church and find god. Racist Americans are like Nazi Germans. I hate them both. Japan has made some great stuff. I do not hate Japanese because they made better stuff than American car companies. I just think Americans need to build better quality. Its called capitalism. Customers buy best products for best price.

@gwalia4 And Ford has it covered, right now they are the best hands down. And yes everyone has built a shitty car before. But the fact is Ford is building there vehicles with better steel. And when Ford went rusty in the 90s the steel came from Japan. Did you know that ?. My truck has a few chips but no rust for years. New Toyotas with chips have rust already. So dont try and brag about a buch of garbage. Man up buy something
