I have a problem with the PITCH SHIFT function. When i change the pitch of the sample to +1.00 or -1.00 (semi tone), than the sample sounds damaged. When put it to +12.00 or -12.00 (one octave) no problem. So there's nothing wrong with the sample itself.
I just got the MPC 2500, when i try to hook up a Keyboard thru MIDI i can get the keyboard to play the sounds out of the mpc,but can even hear the sounds out of the keyboard....What am i doing wrong???

MIDI does NOT transfer sound. It only transfers data. You have to hook up both the keyboard and MPCs audio outs to a mixer.

Ya that mixer will be good for you. Looks like it has room for 8 mono instruments or 4 stereo.
