why does everyone compare this to boondocks? Have any of you seen boondocks? It's a satire of American and African-American culture. Boondocks is stylized like an anime but is not anime. Tokyo Tribe is a full fledged anime/manga.

if it every came to america
it would be and should be released by Tokyo Pop
since they localized the manga.
it would be for DVD only, so nothing would be changed.
music soundtracks however, are hard to obtain

This a good Anime / manga, it's weird they're Japanese with black facial features. But that's what makes this series unique and raw as hell.

I have to disagree. Alot of people including myself would love this. The way I stumbled apone this anime was by accident. My friend a classmate was reading the anime and I got curious and every since then I was a fanatic.

nah its better if it stayed in America because if the made an american version then they would change the japanese hip-hop soundtrack to an american one, they would have to change the storyline as well and take out all the japanese cultural references, They would also have to change the look of the characters because they all resemble real american rappers.

Damn straight it would. Not to many animes are real like this. If theres fighting in it it always have to have some wierd ass energy blast involved. Dont get me wrong cause some of that shit is sweet like tenjho tenge.
