Heh, I made most of that IFE system myself (the code behind it, not the design). I've never seen it on the actual plane though. I don't work with that company any more either.
Looks a lot like the media center in MCE 2005, anyways, what are the ports for KrisWorld, I know there is a USB port, but what is the RJ45 for and that yellow (assumingly) switch?
seriously guys... would be interesting to post your new cabin experience if you happen to be on this new cabin with the new entertainment system. (dunno tech name for it)
The "techy" name for it is the Panasonic Ex2 system. Oh and btw, you are correct, the box is no longer there as it has been planted under the floor and connected to the screen. More legroom!
Hi whiteb89, this one works perfect. Have no idea how they do it. If I recall correctly, that irritating box underneath your seat is gone? Maybe is some microcomputer. I am trying to find an excuse to fly up to HK for biz trip. Hope this time round I can take the biz class. I am sure the experience will be different.
forzadude03 that's actually Singapore Airlines' economy class screen. Its coach but you still get 1000 on-demand options, dolby surround sound headphones, and a business class-sized crystal screen. The one in first is 23 inches wide and looks amazing. type in youtube singapore airlines krisworld and it shows the official video, you'll be able to catch a glimpse of the first class screen in there.
I know! The screen in business is 15 inches and first class is a crazy huge 23 inches. SQ really upped the ante in the entertainment category even though they were already leading.

Dear All,
I have some curious questions:
(1) What does inflight entertainment mean to you?
(2) Why does inflight entertainment is important for you flying journey?
(3) What kind of new feature will you expect for the future's inflight entertainment?
(4) What is the best inflight entertainment and airline toys for children?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative idea and brainstorm!!! :)

Call this a business trip. But you're in coach.
Are you getting an upgrade (to Business Class or First) for your next trip?
S7r0ng3r 3 years ago
Not all business men and women fly business or first for work. Esp. will such high prices these days
bryanb16th 3 years ago
hmm... good point :)
but to me, the high prices associated with premium classes is well worth it. especially if you're flying SQ.

Whats the Response time like from the Controllers ?
I found the old system a bit laggy when scrolling through the menu's, so I would overshoot what I wanted and had to go back.
But all up, it looks good.

The new Krisworld looks great! Screens a lot bigger and sharper than on the B744 and it has almost double the features.

let me know if you happen to see any more. I will try to sneak a shot if the biz class if possible.
