! use a digatrax system.First cut on your program track. Go to the function key. Push it till you see pg. Then on the left side of your DT400 screen it shoud read AD2. Bump the right throttle by clicking it down. Then AD4 should pop up. Then enter the four digit address by the key pad.. Then hit the enter button. You will here a beep. Then hit Y on your function key and that should put in your new address into the loco. Cut off the program track. Put the system back on and call up your number.
I just got unit 1921 I love it. but I will need to turn up the sound. and your righ about model train stuff. I came over from wholesale tain. and have not looked back.and thanks for the review.
I have not changed any CV's yet. The sound is at a good rate. I may raise the horn a little. The biggest problem IM having is matching the speed with other units. I have a Proto 2000 GP7 with a digatrax dh123 decoder and I have been playing with it in the speed CV's to try to get a match but it has been difficult. Amazing enough I have a SAL F3 by Proto 1000 with a Digatrax sdh 164 sound decoder that mu's exact on speed.
The transitions are excellent. On my Digitrax throttle when going up hill the throttle is at 15 and you notch it to 16 it will rev down for a second then rev up like its going into transition and the engine willl surge up. I have ridden a number of GP18s on the Carolina Southern Railroad and it is just like it.
