There is indeed a cartoon or a movie of some kind, based on The Hobbit-book, but they are going to make a whole new movie about it. I just hope Peter Jackson's gonna direct it :)

The only movie from the hobbit is a cartoon. not very good at all, i don't recommend you see it. there will ba a hobbit movie in 2010 though but it won't be made be peter jacksson.

i'm with you there DrMGinius. I liked "The Hobbit" more the "lord of the rings" the hobbit is more believable in some way. in the lotr books it feels like whatever trouble they get into they get out of it somehow. they can take on 20 orcs single handedly and so on.

Yes but read the hobbit and read lord of the rings (You probably already have, but i mean read them again, just after eachother) And then compare the problems thet they "Get out of" And you will see that the problems in "The hobbit, they get out of by using logical and smart solutions (For example when they're cought by the elves), While in Lord Of The Rings they get out of like all problems cause they are like super warriors and kill everything in heir path.
