This music remainds me of my childhood back home in Benin City, Nigeria.

A neighbour of ours next door, used to play it back in the 70s, i can still remember how i will always stay around his window anytime i hear him played it then.

Without any knowledge of what Victor sings about cos I don`t understand the language, I fell for his songs as early as when I was in primary school. This is probably Victor Uwaifo`s best track! I was still in the university back home when it was released. The instrumentation is a masterpiece,especially the flute played by Victor himself. I think the actual name of this track is Ekassa 27. It is just one of the Ekassa series,even though here it is referred to just as Ekassa on U-tube. However,it is 10 times "smoother" on vinyl/tape than as recorded here on U-tube. Finally,"kunwa-kunwa" means cloth in Edo language. Thank you.
