For example, when someone is a young child s/he learns how to write sentences. Obviously this child wouldn't actually manage to create a perfect sentence, instead it would be rather simple. As we get older and learn more vocabulary, we begin to use them in our sentences in order for it to be more complex and complete.

They still continued to carry their faith in Christianity. An obvious symbol would be the cross in which Jesus was nailed on. Despite the fact that over time the views from the pilgrims and their ancestors in Europe changed, they still have this symbol of the cross. Where then is this symbol that connects these cultures.
