The trick was to get the pods to mostly stay together but still be free to move. I ended up using several fixed-length ropes in a rotated, flattened triangle formation. That kept them mostly forward, but allowed a good amount of freedom. And the cockpit was, of course, attached by ropes.

i liked the fact that you didn't use the weld tool, and that the 2 pods just pulled you a long.
nice compared to some other podracers i've seen :)
