I like it, but on of my personal favourite dance movies is "Take the Lead". But Centre Stage is probably my fave EVER!

Funny, i just saw this film on tv 2 days ago and Black Swan in the theater yeterday. This film is not " nothing" some exceptionally fierce dancing esp from the male lead. Cannot compare the 2 films.Center Stage: pretty light; Black Swan haunting, intriguing film ( with dance doubles btw) I lived this: I studied on scholarships at both ABT and SAB(NYCB). Both films hit very close to home.

umm this is nothing to The Black Swan. The Black Swan beat the crap out of this and gives more respect to the ballet world and what it takes to get there.

@Kn8cK Haven't watched this yet but I think it would be a lot better than Step Up or Step Up 2 because it doesn't seem like it's just made with flashy moves, pretty faces, stereotypical characters and shallow romance (which we all like, but still). Some depth seems to be thrown in.
