i think the politic involvement was based on the fact human beings are interupting the food supply penguins, in phillip island humans are taking over blue penguin populations i believe were reducing food supply of antarticas penguins, not a good reason to despise a movie because of political events because human beings really are interupting nature you know,

They didn't already name Mumble, you see, in the movie, Gloria runs over with his dad, hits the egg with her beak and says 'Is it empty?' ... 'Can I have it?' then his legs pop out one at a time and he starts running still inside his egg, Gloria then says 'Come on Mumble!' her father says 'Gloria!' then Menphis says 'Ahh no, it's alright. She can call 'im whatever the heck she likes!'

@PHDcsfan I'm not exaggerating at all. The filmmakers didn't want to entertain or tell a story. They wanted to audiences to swoon over their cute animation and follow their heavy-handed environmental message.The plot, which isn't compelling in the slightest, is secondary to the dancing/musical numbers. The only time that the plot actually takes command of the film is in the insanely preachy third act, where the film stops being cute and starts being really, really, political.
