Somewhere in my vinyl collection I have a Promo 12" of this...not sure whats on the "b" side...Great song...hard to find in any medium..thanks for posting!!
@MartyMartin87 His FATHER is Swedish ( & his mother Sicilian ) . He grew up in Chicago . But comes home to Sweden to visit his relatives almost every summer.
@MartyMartin87 Probably because he has a swedish soudning name - according to Wikipedia - Lofgren was born in Chicago in 1951 to Swedish/Italian parents.

Thanks for posting - great video! Saw Nils the other week but sadly he didn't do this song!
He is shurely a master on his stratocaster guitar with hot an spirit solo sounds, an athletic guitar player because he jumped on a trampoline by playing the guitar ; ) amazing! Or watch the video of his ' across the tracks '
Great song, love the lyrics. As a woman, it's a scene that happens so often. Too many women are indifferent to men who support and need them-- a tease, really. Gentleman to the core, it's a great revelation of how men can feel.
@willthis1do Buy ' Bruce Springsteen & the E- Street Band - Live in N.Y. ' on DVD and you can see him playing a very very hot solo to song called Youngstown. Hey you should know the Boss^^
He doesn't have the nickname Machinegun Fingers for nothing! One of the best live performers I have ever seen...go to Pbase . com and see the shot of him I took on the Damaged Goods tour....just type in cits4pets and you should be able to locate my galleries...he is in the music one...
saw nils last night inbradford, uk - he was great - unassuming, modest, talented, and a lovely human being

Here I am, back again
Girl how do you do?
Tell me friend
How long it's been
Since I've been seeing you
We had some good times
And some long talks
Your favourite subject - love
HengistTheGreat 2 years ago
You're experienced
And I'm not
Think we've talked enough
Yes, I believe we've talked enough
I need someone to love me
I need someone [that] cares
[mumble into beard]
Girl the time is right
It's delivery night (x2)...

I'd love to see Fender make a signature model for Nils. That would be freaking sweet if they made the oakwood scratchplate Strat he uses here!.

This man is amazing. He has the most melodic voice. Why is he not more accessible? His albums are like hens teeth to get hold of.

@willthis1do But you can see him playing on Bruce Springsteen concerts. He gives each song a special spirit touch. Do you know what I mean?

There are simply not enough superlatives to adequately descibe Mr Lofgren's talent.
