Great -____- now I want both the primer AND the foundation lol. I got samples of Real Sand and Natural Beige. Natural Beige is a little orange-y though.. does the foundation oxidize at all on you?
Also, I think the reason you may get itchy is because of the 'bismuth oxychloride' ingredient. It is found in a lot of mineral makeup and is known to cause the itchiness once you start sweating. That may be it.
Thank you for the review! I'll definitely make my way to Sephora once I pick my shade :) xx
@doseofvanity hahah sorry!!! no it didn't oxidize on me! you're right, i'm pretty sure it was the bismuth. argh i just hate feeling itchy! it's the most frustrating thing ever! right now my eyes are crazy swollen and itchy due to a bad reaction to some acne cream (epiduo) that accidentally got to my eye area. grrr! lol xxx
Thanks for this review, I've been looking into this product for ages. Just wondering, can you use liquid products over the top of it like cream blush or liquid highlighter? Thanks alot :)
some people might be allergic to the natural minerals, I started using the bareminerals foundation and somehow I had developed allergies. I switched to Urban decayed minerals and I no longer suffered from allergies. I haven't used Laura Mercier but I might try it, the price is too high thou.
most mineral makeup makes me itch too. it's not a bad reaction, just what mineral makeup does because it is dry and then it it mixes with sweat and oxidizes. if u turn red and get bumps, then you have a bad reaction and should stop using it. but other than that, i experience the same problem too!
@paullangpo sorry but i don't know.. i only know my own shade because i didn't actually look at any other shades apart from the one the MA tried on me! the best thing to do would be to go try different shades at a counter xx
Does Natural Beige have pink or yellow undertones? I couldn't tell when I was at Sephora. I'm debating between Real Sand and Natural Beige, but at the same time, they seem to be two totally different shades lol
@stellarbrite i haven't actually seen real sand in person, but from online pictures i think real sand is more pink than natural beige. i think natural beige has a bit of a yellow undertone, though not strong.
I went a got the Laura Mercier Mineral foundation! I am going to wait on the primer because I am so broke. haha. Thanks! for review. your videos makes me what to go buy a lot of stuff. need to stop watching for a while.
@pandabear88ful i hope you like it as much as i do! haha that's funny how you need to stop watching for a while... make sure you come back though :P xx
It might contains bismuth oxychloride in it, just like Bare Minerals does. Becuz I used to use BM mineral foundation and it did itch my face when i sweat too. It doesn't harm my skin though, just no comfortable wearing it.
@alleysun89 i think you're the second person who has recommended TBS kabuki brush, so i've popped it onto my wishlist! i haven't tried the sleek lip conditioners do can't really say, sorry.. the MAC one tastes like sunscreen though, which isn't nice lol =S x
does it have bismuth oxychloride? a lot of mineral foundations do and a lot of people react badly to them, i used bare minerals that had bismuth in and my face was itching soooo much, so maybe it's that..i'm not too sure, some people itch when they sweat anyway, but if it's only with this foundation then i'm not sure....xxxx
your reviews are always so informative.! i def mite try the laura mercier foundation now and the primer :) thanks, am i the first commenter again :)) ahah
aww i wish i could afford mac products.! the eyeshadow looks really nice :(
@natalieharding1993 haha you're always the first! you could save up for mac products :) the quality is really good and it's not as expensive as other 'high end' brands x
holy moly!!! LM powder for 23 pounds?? in my country it costs about 46 pounds!!! my heart aches... :( your skin looks flawless btw!!
