I'll let you in on a trade secret. To cut cost on special effects, cast real aliens! Simple lang di ba? Casting was a tedious process. Hirap pala maghanap ng aliens ngayon. Haha. Biro lang tsong.

The visual effects used here is what you call motion capture. Pretty much the same way Gollum was created for the LOTR movies.

I am a graduate of UP so I am somewhat able to recognize some of the buildings on the ad- Benton Hall and Palma Hall Annex (jeepney scene) and the steps of the Main Library. Yung canteen scene, mukhang soundstage yun.

Again, congratulations to the people behind this new Nescafe ad.

p.s.: Publicis Manila people, paano ba mag-apply ng work sa agency niyo? Hahaha! :-)

Salamat sa lahat ng mga nagbigay ng comments. We had a blast making this TVC. Although we tried hard to look for a part of the campus that wasn't too distinguishable, we always knew schoolmates will recognize the steps eventually. Haha.

The jingle was written by our copywriter. It's the usual "Cup In Hand" song pero as always written and arranged to tailor fit the TVC. Kung sino ang kumanta, tanungin nyo na lang sa mga nakakatanda kung sino ang The Jerks.
