Gah, so cute! So sorry to hear he passed away :( German Shepherds are fantastic, intelligent dogs! I don't think I could ever own another kind (Okay, maybe a Husky because I adore their freaky eyes <3). But I grew up with German Shepherds - a female who my parents had before me, and she was just the gentlest, best dog ever, and a male a few years after she passed. He was such a smart guy, less gentle (he was actually bred to be a police dog), but still so loving. They are just the best

Thanks for all the comments. The dog is called Bailey and he was from a breeder in Essex. Unfortunately, he fell ill recently and we lost him :-( Great memories of him but a real shame that our daughter won't remember him.
