I've never heard this song before, and somehow it has been on constant rotation on one of my favourite radio stations for a few months now. I both hate and love it.
Just an old memory - saw the core of what would become the Spoons play at Aldershot High School under the name of Tryst at a battle of the bands competition in 1977 or 1978 - Gord used to teach music lessons at a place near Waterdown Road and Plains Road just behind Murray's Variety
My friends and I saw them in concert in 1983. There were about 200 people there, maybe less. We sat near the stage and the speakers were really close to us (had trouble hearing for a few hours after the concert) My buddy got to talk to Sandy after the show, on stage. he had a huge crush on her...good times back then.
Hey! What a memory bringer-backer! Loved this song...just had a craving to hear it all of a sudden...Yeah Youtube! Thx for posting....what a good band they were.
Note the blue Sperry 'Topsiders'...lol,now that brings back some of those old emoooooohoootions. Deck shoes, everyone had 'em, and I live in a landlocked province. The only decks they saw had bbq's on em!

FOR SOME REASON. i GET THE FEELING THAT THIS WOULD BE THE SONG PLAYING IF I WAS TO GET IN A VEHICLE CRASH.aND AS I AM DYING THIS SONG PLAYS AND FADES AWAY.
as an ex-Burlingtonian, now living on Manitoulin, probably the best group to ever come from there. Anyone else out there originally from Burlington? I attended Nelson High. :) Remember the Ragged Edges? and Smyle?
I played guitar in the final lineup of the Ragged Edges until the band folded. Last night I saw the 3 other surviving members (vocalist Randy Chisholm died several years ago) for the first time in about 35 yrs at a 40th anniversary celebration of Docs Place coffeehouse. Many of the musicians from Burlington bands of the late 60's were there. More grey hair and wrinkles than a seniors residence.
Hey man, thanks for the reply.....it is hard to believe that 40 years have gone by. I actually have one of your songs, on a reel-to-reel, taped off the John Donabie Show - Chum FM....so it must have been kinda neat to be played on the top radio station in Canada. Often wondered what caused so many good S. Ontario groups to fade away after an initial good album. (Paupers, Kensington Market, Ugly Ducklings, etc) Chuck

If you make a lame comment, you shouldn't put it all in capital letters. You're just going to make yourself look more like an idiot
