@459924890 actually monster hunter is fairly popular in both North america, and japan - its been (both commercially succesful in both regions, and sales as well) check the statistics/numbers - very popular, maybe its become alittle weened over time, died down abit obviously - but with the portability of MH on PSP (MHFU for that matter) i mean it has been 2 1/2 years since its release most games reguardless of their impact, sales, criticial reviews do eventually loose steam in the mainstream

@459924890 but in comparison to many other games, MH (and MHFU for the psp) is still doing well, has sold fairly well and has tournaments, tons of online sites, strategies, guides (etc, etc) and that encyclopedia gigantica which has a wealth of info for MH gamers. its (more less if anything) a cult-like status/following.  so alot like pokemon, and harry potter, star wars (etc) reguardless of its a game, or movie, or comic book its popuar (or a popular series in general) ive seen alot of games

@Zappyt what you are probably doing is the local multiplayer, which is when you go to gathering hall and do "online". to do what you are probably looking for is you need to get a third party software, such as xlink kai. and make sure it is working. i have it, but i've yet to make it work correctly. . . >_<;

okay im a little confused how a video showcasing Monster hunter Freedom unite became a talk about black ops lol. regardless i've got the wii version of MH. it was my first MH game, 200+ hours later i found out that they have a psp version, which has like double the monsters and alot more weps. so im all for it, and im going to go buy it soon. well that and a psp 3000 :) cant beat $115 for a new one with 2 games and a 1gig pro duo stick :)

@lfcandpo I hope you're joking. Modern Warfare 2 has got to be the most overrated game ever--by far. And the multiplayer is an absolutely horridly unbalanced camp-fest so the replay value is worthless in my book.

It's not a question of my ability, it's a personal preference that I happen to have a distaste for MW 2 and what Activision is doing with the franchise as a whole: It's a cash-cow that's long past due on its expiration date. I don't like games because they're popular or casual friendly, I like them for quality and the challenge in playing them.

I'm not alone either, I've spoken with many former fans of the franchise that believe Modern Warfare to be the buggiest, most imbalanced game yet.

This was supposed to be about Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. So ya, I liked the challenge: Constantly needing to switch up tactics, in order to survive. The RPG elements like item hunting and crisp graphics (even for PSP) as well

I hate to somewhat stick my foot in my mouth about all the trash talk I did opposing the different development team creating Black Ops, but I disagree with ya there. I think those changes are welcome in my book and made the franchise better. I've been playing Black Ops non-stop and can't get enough of the customizations, contract achievement system and general game play with all the modes available; including no respawns before the end of a round (forget the exact mode), but it's more intense.

@GavinoPro ur not getting it, if u have a ps3 and are using a wired connection via cable modem u can download adhoc party from psn and connect to other users online in almost like a chat room type place. most monster hunters play in the A rooms.

but if you have xlink and a WifiMax than you can play with ppl all over the world
