  • great job little guy and ur big bro u did awesome

  • we fished in this exact spot without any luck. do you havr any tips or lure suggustions?

  • @therocketdr

    See my post to Soccalover88.

This year is weird with the river running so high. But seriously if you follow my advice from above you'll catch fish. I can't say every one will be a big Walleye but there is fish in there and we rarely get skunked. Try fishing late evening early night time. I have found that the walley seem to come into the creek at night to feed. Use the slip bobbers like I suggested. They are great cuz they let you quickly adjust your depth.

    Keep trying.

  • @LPRNChannel

thanks! we will def try all that!

  • great job!

  • Where exactly in Winnipeg is this? I tried fishing on Sturgeon Creek after seeing this video but had a less than enjoyable experience ...

  • @soccalover88

Anywhere in the creek downstream of the mill. The fish ladder at the mill does not work and there are few fish upstream of the ladder. Stable weather for at least a week and I am a fan of the Full moon....If you get the weather stable in the week leading up to the big moon then you have to fish those days. Bait presentation is critical... Night-crawlers work OK. Use slip bobbers and keep adjusting your depth until you find them. Goldeye at the top - Walleye at the bottom...

  • @LPRNChannel Okay thank you so much, I'll definitely give it a shot! Best of luck for future endeavors and congrats on the great video, really well done.

  • @soccalover88

  • Wow! Great fish! I caught my first fish 32-yrs ago under the bridge by the Misericordia Hospital with my dad; and I can remember being as happy as the kids in this video. Priceless moments and fantastic memories.

Great job video-Dad- for being patient and letting the boys do it themselves.

  • @amsterdope Thanks for your comments. I am glad this brings back good memories to you. We always have fun at the creek!

So did you live here at the time or just visiting?

  • @LPRNChannel

I lived there at the time, but now I live in Europe (Amsterdam) with my family. And, where I come from, the fishing isn't too good! Anyway, I wish you more memorable family moments in the future. Regards,..
