  • is it better to use a partition to prevent actual mating before basketing for a race , or doesnt it make a difference if they do the deed before basketing? regards

  • wow! thats truly amazing loft! and beautiful pigeons too!

  • hee hee --- i'm watching this and all i could hear in my head was 'hey baby-- hey sweet thing---what's your sign? come here often? whats your number?' all with 'stayin' alive' playing in the background.. --- it was like you opened the door on a nightclub in the seventies! maybe you should think about putting a little disco ball up in there.... hahahahaa! trooper and freya would SO come visit!! xoxoxoxo lizz

  • i like the red

  • Once all the females got in, all the males were doing the mating dance. LOL (:

  • hey how can u tell young birds if its a male or female because i just bought one and the guy that i bought it from said that it was a male but it looks like a female to me so can u plz help me

  • You can't really tell until they get older and start acting like a male or female or lay eggs.......

  • Are you crazy those birds are plenty motivated, do you think that after mating they lose the incentive to home? Wrong, the will to home is even greater when on eggs or returning to young! Yes there are plenty of tricks to racing but I don't believe in just teasing birds to home! The love of mate and home is more important IMHO!

  • Thanks DJ.........I wasn't even going to reply.....I'll just YOUR reply be mine too.

  • Each to their own but I personally and everyone I know would never let the cocks tred the hens and uld lock the hens up for the cocks to boo next to but not actuall touch. Wheres the incentive to come home when they have already mated with the hens. Think about it.

  • SURE makes me miss my Pigeons...all of them got stolen from my loft...:(

  • Very hot stocks for the very neat nice nests. Sir a have a Question to ask. How many times will I use cod liver oil in my racing pigeons and the proper measurement when mixing with grains? Thank you may your winning ways continue!

  • Thank you for your comments. I personally don't use cod liver oil, so I'm afraid I can't help you. Sorry.

  • Outstanding show of Widowhood....To all the rookies, Coops are for chickens, Lofts are for Purebred Racing Homers.

  • At least someone knows what they've talking about ;)

  • Well a loft is for pigeon's whether you race them or not is beside the point. Do you keep tumblers in a coop or a loft?

  • If Tumblers are chickens they belong in a coop. I just got back from Europe (Portugal), and visited many "Lofts" with racers and "Tumblers". My Mother-in Law and every one else has chickens in their back yard "Coops" as they call them that.

  • nice coop and pigeons you got
