  • Wojtek Adamusik from Poland!

  • Sensei Gokor is Amazing Man and Teacher!

I am very proud train with him!

  • Jesus, why on earth did he choose that guy in the white T shirt to demonstrate on? I've never heard a guy make as much noise as he does taking a fall!

  • 0:47 like

  • in soviet russia....gokor still kicks your ass

  • im proud i train with him

  • 1:08 looks like a very useful technique.

  • Gokor Chivichyan gym cost a shit load but its worth it

  • Amazing..

  • I don't know...All this seems unrealistic to me...I know Gokor is an amazing grappler but can this work ?

  • @JordyBT these moves are very realistic I personally grappled him and he just murdered me with these moves his nogi judo is the best I see him take down judo champions with no problem great guy

  • @JordyBT I am not sure about all of it, but the roll from a single leg seems like it would work. Well as long as the guy doesn't dig too deep into the pivot after a single leg.

  • At 0:45... "I rotation here......

  • wow looks intense

  • The guy in the white shirt needs to learn some breakfalls.

  • @dacreepa2 hey fought mr. maeda who was a very well rounded fighter.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=YOIj1e3Qbbs

THIS SHOULD BE EAZY FOR YOUR PEOPLE

  • oh shit ...wow

  • I'm probably the one of the most fortunate people in the world because I train under Alberto Crane, who not only is a BJJ black belt under the world famous Draculino, but has also trained with Gokor and learned a lot of his tricks.

  • @SakoYo But I thought people who trained with Gokor were the lucky ones, because he was taught by the 'incredible' (JEW) Gene Lebell - who we also have never seen actually fight anybody good...

  • @packoftwenty As oppose to Alberto Crane who lost every time he fought somebody good :).

  • hey pride310 , u fucken moran gokor never kicked karo out lol hhaa u stupid, karo left on his own cuz gokor is a money hungry faggot got, dont say stupid shit, gokor always new karo was a treat to him, he was so fucken jelouse. anyway i know both of them and trust me karo did the write thing.

  • @fightmma holy shit bud, dont post another comment until you learn to read and write.

  • one of his early students is teaching me

  • He is the best!

  • Looks really cool, but kind of hard.

    Very different from my bjj.

  • karo used to train here untill gokor kicked him out

  • aaah , so nice to see that there are still some conceptual/natural martial artists left. Most people that practice martial arts are very theoretical and analyze too much!!!

  • it so cool that this guy has never been defeated!! never!!

  • interesting. will have to get this one

  • Gokor was my Coach back in the days. Great Guy with Amazing Judy Skills!

  • Judo

  • @VAPOURi This guy is an amazing grappler they say that Rickson Gracie never fights anyone who has a chance of beating him thats why he never fought Gokor or benny the Jet cause Benny the Jet trained under Gokor so i wonder if he'd ever fight Erik Paulson?

  • @Mider999 I think you meant to say "they say that GOKOR never fights anyone who has a chance of beating him"... or perhaps you have some footage of him actually fighting somebody decent, which nobody else knows about?

Why did he stop fighting? Allegedly he's 'too old' now, what rubbish. I'm sure Dan Severn would fight him. And Randy Couture. But then, Randy would destroy him, so Gokor would rather avoid actually proving his skills.

  • @packoftwenty No im pretty sure Ive heard that Rickson Gracie only fights people he knows he can beat.

  • @packoftwenty randy is a great fighter but did you know he has done some trainning under Gokor?

  • @VAPOURi Does all these moves word? This is some pretty amazing upper level judo and sambo stuff right?

  • damn Gokor is so good!

  • somebody got a link to download the gokor's submission library? i got a lot of stuff pm if you want or got something

  • Eddie wouldn't have a chance. Gokor is a genius and Eddie never fought MMA. That's what BJJ could have been if they kept the Judo in it.

  • thank you oh so much!

  • I couldn't agree more!

  • Gokor is amazing! Pure heart, kind soul, and shows great interest in his students.

  • this man is a genius!

  • hahaaa dats ma coachh rite derr

  • Phenomenal

  • judoka ;D

  • GOKOR 300 RULE FIGHT UNDEFEATED

  • gokor my uncle if you guys want information on his fighting clubs seminars or anything just post a reply

  • that spinning armbar he shows when the guy tries to posture up, my judo coach taught me that....amazing.

  • Gokor is a boss. He's just so legit, and awesome lol. ARMENIANS FOR THE WIN!!!

  • Does anybody know the name of the move he demonstrates at 1:26? The one he transitions to if you can't finish the armbar.

  • It's called a short arm scissors.

  • that armbar finish is sick

  • Gokor is the man.

  • Gokor vs Fedor winner.......all of us

  • gokor es el mas chingon!!!!!!!!!

  • I've known about Gokor since the early days of MMA (NHB). The guy is legit!

  • Gokor is the best man he'll fuck up anyone

  • his natural armenian power is what his real secret is lol

  • Yeah... he barely looks like he knows how to roll. Be kind, this was Gokar's first attempt at grappling. LOL

  • are you kidding? you need to look at the video again.

  • Gokor is the man, he is a very humble guy who has nothing to prove, but is insane skillwise, anyone wanting some serious grappling coach with no politics, go see him!

  • This guy is badass!!

  • I purchased Gokor Chivichyan Black Belt Grappling DVD; you will be amazed what are on those tracks. Escaping from the Arm Bar into a Kimora was amazing. It's simple and cool. If you are interested in BJJ, Judo, Sambo, Wrestling or any ground work, Gokor Chivichyan, Damien Maia (Science of Jiu-Jitsu) is an excellent guide to have on your side. Practice all forms of martial art and become a well rounded person. Good Luck on the best investment with Gokor Chivichyan & Chuck Lebell.

    Eric

  • @ericolom Gokor trained under Judo Gene Lebell. In the video did he do any self defense? I once saw Gene Lebell do moves were he grabed a guys hair and bite his hand to get out of a hold

  • poor guy

  • Gokors the MAN, HES the best, and im honored and proud to be a part of his team

  • hah, hes good

  • I miss my old sensai

  • maladec =)

  • all ticher do it !!! what amazing about it !!!

  • This is just a trailer. I have the dvd and Gokor teaches everything with lots of detail.

  • Karo was one of his students if i am not mistaken.

  • So was his brother Manny. They were all Armenians.

  • Yup Karo was his student so was Manny but they are not brothers.. they are cousins.. ive sparred with Manny.. that guy is a tank.. strongest person I have sparred with that size..

  • Oh, my bad.

  • Gokor! Hell yeah!

  • Heck, I wish Gokor would put out comprehensive Judo DVDs... He's better than any American I've seen do Judo.

  • Good One.....Sensei Gokor !!!

Lookin awesome as usual, yep your right a lot of it does come from Judo, Ju-Jitsu, Sombo etc

but a mojority of systems overlap techniques.

That's why the vid is called Hayastan grappling for M.M.A !!!-Mixed Arts !!!!

See you in September Sensei Gokor, for your United Kingdom Seminar.

Till then-All at Team Hayastan United Kingdom.

  • go team hayastan

  • Fyi Rickson ducked gokor several time. Gokor wanted to fight him in the wfa

  • Gokor is in his early 40 s. He makes a lot more money teaching than fighting. The Gracies are phenominal and made grappling mainstream. However, they refined ju-jitsu in 1925 and thereafter. Many moves they do were done decades before in carnivals in Europe and America. They were done by catch wrestlers such as Ed Strangler Lewis and others. At the same time, grappling was developed centuries before in Asia.

Gokor is so fluid in this video clip that it,s safe to assume he is the real deal.

  • No need to assume. I have been to Rickson's in West LA but prefer Hayastan. In Hayastan you drink from the well - directly from Gokor. At Gracie's place nothing but a few pictures of Rickson. LOL Plus Gracie's is ran like a business - no soul. I put a guy in a leg lock during sparring and the instructor started yelling and screaming "no leg locks, do not want to get sued". UUUUHHHHH What? Is it a dojo or????????

  • @icescape333 Kind of funny you compare the early European Wrestling to Asian Grappling. Look up the story of Yukio Tani. Small Japanese man defeated hundreds of European Wrestlers in challenge matches in the early 1900's.

  • My trainer is a top student under gokor and Gene Lebell, he's amazing. Look up the martial artist Max Bishop if you wanna know more about him. He's also met Royce Gracie, his team is always number 1 in tournaments.

  • if this guy is so so good why he doesnt prove a go to mma fight to try to beat a bjj fighter like rickson gracie, bj penn, anderson silva, if he wanna prove who the best he needs to beat the best

  • Since when does being in an MMA fight prove how good of a fighter you are? If I was skilled enough to teach students, I shouldn't be expected to go into the UFC to prove to everyone I'm a good fighter. Gokor has won his share of tournaments, and let's see, UFC fighters personally seek him out to train under, So the very MMA fighters you look up to, look up to this guy, so your doubt proves your ignorance.

  • mma is where the best are locate

  • actualy has already out placed gracies in earlier grappling contest also why didnt Rickson answer Bas Ruttens challenge he likes fighting people we dont know about no real fighters!

  • I cannot agree with you more you made clearer than anybody has ever in these fucking comment boxes, bas is a worthy opponent why didn't he fight him? we all know the answer he's FLOYD MAYWEATHER 2

  • i call that brazilian jiu-jisu thats what it is, people just wanna keep changing names!!!!!!!!!!

  • Its not BJJ! Its SAMBO!!!

  • i just think that if your fight come with a arm bar triangulo kimura or submission or you know the ground fight that came from bjj or from gracie family that develop that.

  • There are quite a few forms of ground-fighting: Pancrase, BJJ, Sambo...etc. The joint locks and chokes that you're referring to stem from Japanese jiu-jitsu, which was modified by the Gracies in Brazil and also adopted by the Russians (Sambo) among others. You should probably hit Wikipedia some time and read up on grappling all together.

  • sometimes you think it colud work on a fight but its very hard to apply any of that if both has ground fight

  • It does work and you're right; its is hard to do. The key thing though is to work with what your opponent gives you. Don't just try to impose your will, keep moving with your guy until he makes a mistake...ie. leave a limb out, move off-balance, then go for it. It's a chess match through & through.

  • I dont know what you're talking about. Grappling has saved my ass a number of times. I'm small and scrappy, but grappling has came through for me a lot. I got in a fight a while back, ended it in a couple of seconds by ducking a punch and getting a choke hold locked, but then his friends jumped in. Luckily my friends pulled them off,but even while being hit, I did not let go of that hold.

  • bjj was modified judo just to be specific, and judo was modified japanese juijitsu. Maeda taught carlos gracie judo not japanese juijitsu.

  • all that stuff came from judo. Kimura is named after a famous judoka. Armbar, triangle, arm triangle, kimura, americana, etc all judo. Leglocks are from sambo though and various wrestling.

  • actually the gracies renamed it a KIMURA in honor of the man that beat helio...

  • I know that, I just wasn't being specific. Masahiko Kimura, faced helio after helio had choked out his friend nobuyuki sato I believe, in a challenge match. Kimura then fucking owned helio standing, and then kimuraed him and messed up his shoulder or elbow, I forget.

  • How the hell did Helio choke out Nobuyuki Sato? He was still a kid during that time. Sato became a world judo champion during the 1970s.

  • yeah I'm not sure if it was sato, I can't remember who the first guy was. But anyways, helio choked him out in a match, and kimura accepted helio's challenge after, and wrecked shop.

  • Where is hayastan located? I'm in LA & want to check it out.... awesome video

  • Its on the corner of Burbank Blvd, and Vineland Ave. in North Hollywood

  • in my country there is a saying "find the best teacher, not the better martial arts. mr. gokor is best, but unfortunately he is only in the USA. i wish he do tours to around the world to teach the newer generations & in the process fulfill his spiritual completion.

    thx for the vid. bravo!

  • Quite a handful, I would say and nice to watch,

  • Nice moves for a older guy

  • Cheeky sod!

  • "Choke him out here... Choke him out there... You can just basically kill him everywhere."

    ROFL...

Dude has better quotables than Bas Rutten

  • Just got this in the mail today.

Man, Gokor has so many submissions from every position. Much more interesting than many of the BJJ instructionals I've seen lately.

  • only prob at that academy is they crank everything.. you can see how gokor is being way harsh on the student here. every training center should not be life or death. he knows his shit though.

  • yeah but they got some tough freaking armenians there and that's just how they do things. and don't worry about the student in the video - that's kenny, he's a blackbelt judoka and can take those falls.

  • Yeah he comes from the old school Soviet era training system just like Fedor.

  • just damn thats it. smooth can't wait for this video!!!!!!

  • What does Hayastan mean?

  • Hayastan means Armenia in Armenian.

  • This DVD looks awesome. Gokor is on another level.

  • Very nice! Great techniques. All just going with the flow.
