I owned this machine back in the 80's. It was a lot of fun, but Roger Linn cut some corners with it. Not being able to tune each and every instrument was a drag and some of the samples were changed from the LM1 for no real good reason. Someone stole mine, or I'd still be using it today.
Anyone help me out with getting forats email? I just bought a linn and want to send it over to America for regular servicing. I also need help with changing the batterys. Any ideas??
It's THE sound of the '80's, but I love the way you can mix the levels of the instruments separately.........
Why can't the Rolands and Korgs make something again along these lines?
I had a Roland Groovebox MC505 when they came out and it really was a load of crap, about as much charisma as a Working Man's club cabaret act yet to get something out of it you needed a PhD in mathematics, horrible piece of gear.......
can u please put up a vid on how to program one??? my friend is letting me borrow his and he hasn't been around to show me.. i'm completely lost on it!!
in an interveiw roger linn did with futuremusic he said he personally disliked the sounds in the linndrum so id like 2 c wat he does with the linndrum 2
Looking forward to the LinnDrum II that's coming now instead of the Boomchik from Dave Smith and Roger Linn. The LinnDrum II analog even contains a true 4- voice analog Dave Smith synthesizer!
I sure miss my LinnDrum. Sadly, it was stolen from me years ago. :-(

It has a nearly identical kick drum to the Roland TR-707, but the Linn has so much more body than the Roland. Peace.
