@mnfdsng You probably only buy a 10-15 mbps connection from Comcast. The 100mbps is the ethernet speed of your LAN. Not what external connection you are buying.
now say i have wireless laptop and a desktop the desktop is not wireless is there anyway i could hookup a eithernet cord to my laptop and desktop and sence there is wireless on my laptop some how transfer that internet to my desktop can some one please help me?
@sk8terhumes12345 I can get 7 Mbps down and 0.72 Mbps up! Not bad, on the 14th of this month. I am going to have a second line of 7mbps coming into my apartment! So I will two DSL lines, both together would be 14mbps! hell yeah, this will help on my wireless network I have.
Actually it utilizes only 4 physical coper lines that gives you 24 channels of voice or data which can be potentially used for up to 24 lines for voice or data.
T-1's are primarily used for business. The price can be in the hundreds of dollars, depending what type you get, and who you get it from. and mostly comes with a term agreement to offset the cost.
Anyone notice it skipped 2:10 at the end? ;o

what type of router would be best for dial up , will it be slower when using laptop and computer at same time

T1's are always a 2 pair connection. You get 24 channels, not 24 lines.

is it possible to get t1 at home? instead of having a businesS?
dmoney0015 2 years ago
Yes, but it is costly to install and maintain.
T-1's are primarily used for business. The price can be in the hundreds of dollars, depending what type you get, and who you get it from. and mostly comes with a term agreement to offset the cost.

hmmm if a bunch of phone lines= t1 speed
what is a bunch of cable lines?
dmoney0015 2 years ago 2
T1 is actually 4 pairs of wires. T1 speed is a true symetrical or dynamic 1.544 Mbps
a bunch of cables = a mess!
T1 is not for everyone, and definately not in the price range for a residential setting!
Nasrotag 2 years ago
ah, thanks ^_^

@Nasrotag hopefully the industry can change enough in our lifetimes for us to afford this kind of technology.
