When I tried tile editing, it edited the tile, but for every time it was used, it was edited. I have one town built on a mountain, I edited the signs. But now all my other signs on grassy fields have the mountain texture. Any fix?

@BrokenPlectrumRed 7-15 is usually a good place, unless you want it REALLY LOW or if you want a battle every step you take. 25 is the highest I'd recommend, any higher you'll have to be lucky not to get a battle every time you press a button. 100% means you will always be battling, 0 is no battles (so if the tall grass or water or whatever is only for show, put 0 so no Pokemon will come out).

I've got a question for you. When you edit a tile in the tile editor, like you did with the roof of the pokémart, it changes EVERY tile on EVERY map in the game like you edited it. And when you make the tile normal again, the place you edited for will also be normal again. Is there any way to use the edited tile only where you want to?

I downloaded advanced map, unzipped it and put it on a folder in my flashdrive. I tried to use it, but it said that the directory leading to my flashdrive does not exist. Why is this?

Don't put it in your flashdrive, put it on your deskstop and run the setup first. You have to make a directory on your laptop for it (done with the setup included).

Hey foullump. You're Tutorials are really great. I learned a much of them. But by the mapping i got one big problem. Everything works except my cave. When i want to enter it the screen is just black. I tried so much things, but nothing worked. The warps are at the correct place and cavetype is set on "normal". So what am I doing wrong. Can you help me?

Hey how can I change an encounter rate of pokemon in a specific area? I want to add eevee to route 1 but have a 1% chance of finding 1. But every time I keep finding eevees! Any help?

@TheBlueKoopa i think the minimum is 9% for grass (well, in the latest version of AM (1.92) that is)... you just add more pokemon to the list... for example if pokemon 1 to 11 are rattata and pokemon 12 is eevee there's gonna be 8-9% chance that you'll find eevee and 91-92% chance that you'll find rattata.

@ISetCheezOnFire Try ScriptDec. There are others, you just gotta search for pokescript decompilers you'll find one eventually. But I use ScriptDec, and as far as I know so does Foullump. At least he did in January heheh.

foulump, your scripting tutorials are great and your an amazing hacker and everything, but this tutorial isnt very good, sorry mate, the quality makes it impossible to read the text, the music is distracting (although i love zelda games) and trying to read and follow along is trickier than hearing you eplain what your doing clearly and concisely, as you do in your sccripting tutorials.

@OBrienScotland You have to open a game rom in the program and the maps are all there for the towns/cities etc. You can make your own maps, just add the tiles and events etc.

vanish. Turn off by clicking Brendan again.

Yep but it has to be linked to somewhere, say you make a complete new room/buildings with sprites. You will need to find it in the maps to the left, they all have co-ordinates such as LITTLEROOT TOWN(0,9) if you're using emerald like me :-). Then you have to make a W In events which means warp which warps you to a room or location.
