@leafblowinSK8 the lens has nothing to do with it. the lens on a 2 megapixel camera would be able to capture "HD". Infact, the lens on the ipod touch 4g is 2 megapixel if i'm not mistaken and it can apparently record in HD. It just has to do with the resolution of the image and bit rate. Its like taking 30 images with the camera per second, and then sticking them together. The quality of it is questionable though as whenever I do it, the footage comes out very grainy

But you need a higher cam res than stand def lens ;)
Ps. also i think the chip needs to be at least at some size to catch real HD, but yeah you kinda remined me , soo thnaks :D
