dam i love commons that size, i just cant seem to get them, i hit mirrors all the time even on lakes where commons are in equal numbers, my mates hit commons upto 25lb often and mine are always mirrors, i dont know if im on my own but id swap 5 20lb mirrors for 1 20lb common. lovely fish mate and as always great videos :o)

hey im new to carp fishing and wondering what a liner is?

it's when a fish runs or moves into / over your line and gives you a twitch or even a full run.

Liners are the little annoying things in life which let you know carp are pretty much on your rig and bait and not picking it up, i reckon sometimes they turn and wack ur line with their fins n things just to wind you up lol, a liner is simply carp mooching through the bottom weed and things and moving your line which means you get indications on your alarms when the line is moving as the carp etc are hitting into it as they feed.

The rods I now use are Greys Prodigys 2.75 TC (2007 model) and I can highly recommend them.

My reels are now Shimano xtea 10000 and they are super too!

I only use shimano now after being let down by all the others.

I would say buy only shimano reels if you want quality.

when i kept getting bitting bites and strikeing into nothing i found that it was a carp that had got off someones rod and was towing line aboutand the line was catching my line and giving me faulse bites what do you think about that just a suggestion

I've spent enough time searching for carping vids (haven't been on the bank for far too long) and let me tell you this: The Carp Catcher is/has the best carp fishing related vids on you tube. There is all sorts on you tube, from random people to Mat Hayes and yet these Carp Catchers vids are superior to all!

A down to earth, enjoyable, as it happens and knowledgeable experience make these Carp Catcher video's a real pleasure to watch!

sounds like that 1st run you had, strikin into nothing was a fish trailing a rig and a lead...its happened to me a couple of times where i fish too, very frustrating...good days fishing mate...well in :)
