@sowhs Look up footage of the G star demo.. Then say that.. Arenanet has improved on both of those areas.. Now the character models are much better than those in Swtor.. And the conversation cinematics have improved to the point where its just a matter of opinion on which way is better..

@udontseethetruth They don't show the more modern elements in this vid. There's an Engineer class that can use mechs grenades, and they also don't show the Charr city.

Anyone that knows anything about game releases will tell you that retail stores will always come up with some way to lie (or guess) about a time of release just to get people to think they're in the know of things, and possibly convince you to pre-order the game from them.
And for your information: ArenaNet only recently announced going into Closed Beta soon which decides when to have Open Beta, and that in turn helps decide when they'll release.
@JonathanRoth85 I've seen the article and it says GW2 is 18+ I think thats a lie. GW2 is not that of an agresive game. It might be 16+ but not 18+ So I think the release date is also fake. and 15.2.2011 is really too soon. End this year comes the closed beta which will take about 2 months I think. Then the open beta of 1 month and then the release after 3 months. So it will come out in May or June atleast.
@JonathanRoth85 Don't be so naive, they can't have a fixed release date yet because they haven't had closed and open Beta testing yet. Beta testing is not a predictable process, and thus will have an impact on any future release information.

Here is onesuggestion you guys can add: make the bosses actually chase players and go after hazards, and not just stand in one stop moving up and down.
@ThaGamezOnline the bosses are designed to split its attacks up between all the players, it isnt supposed to focus of one player and for the most part, the bosses theyve shown arent melee based so they dont need to be chasing after players, plus (not sure about bosses) but mobs in the game are supposed to aggro to the closest player, if it works the same way with bosses usually theres at least 1 guy right up on them...so y would they chase people when theres some1 right next to them?
@WTSMiniEvenniaLOL 8 dungeons with multiple paths (so more like 30 or something like that) structured pvp, so everything is fair, w vs w vs w pinning 3 different servers against each other in pvp that supposedly last about 2 weeks, various mini games, over 1500 dynamic quest's that will scale depending on how much people are participating and the outcome will actually effect the world, a profession system (jobs i mean, not the classes) and you can max them all out, and more
@WTSMiniEvenniaLOL pass the game? you mean complete it? yea, there's a personal story line that you can go through, and it will be effected depending on your character bio and the decisions you make along the way, but that's only a very small part of GW2

@EuanHall123 they are taking the mentality of when its done they will release it, to avoid the stress of a release date compromising plans to further develop it, they want it to be done right from release, however estimates are around late 2011 but could be early 2012
I truly am greatly excited about this game but I have one concern: when everyone starts the game on release will all the events completely become flooded or utterly chaotic.. Can't wait for the game though and I'll probably pre-order + get it the first day it's out..
@lancejoeram20 Well I see this as a big step forward. Personally, I'd rather not spend over half an hour waiting for a tank or healer. If I want to play, I want to play when MY time frame allows, not someone else's. Games that are tailored towards being very user friendly will win out in the end.
Jst compare the human city here Divinitys Reach with Stormwind...Stormwind could be a fitted into a closet of divinitys reach its so freakin HUGE!! As much as I cannot wait for this game I do have one concern. I'm concerned that the dynamic events will be really repetitive. Save the village, save it again, and again. They haven't shown that many examples of dynamic events or other activities you can do. If someone could fill me in on the rest of the game's content I'd appreciate it.
@Hannibal457 Dynamic events are the main content of the game. Of course you can't expect them to reveal every single one of them, but Arenanet've said that you shouldn't encounter the same event all that often. There are events where you have to catch rabbits or events where you have to solve riddles, raiding pirate bases etc. You have the personal storyline, dungeons and minigames as well. There are achievements, hidden places and things to collect (dyes, traits etc) And of course PvP. :)
@megera23 Thanks for clearing that up, but I have one more question. They've shown off the personal story concept by having you pick certain traits at the character creation process. But will there be actual choices like dialogue options to help shape our story?
@Hannibal457 There are no dialogue options in the cutscenes that I know of but you do have choices to make in the game. One example is that at a certain point in one of the human storylines you have to choose whether you're going to save a burning hospital or a burning orphanage. Or what organization you want your character to join - The Vigil, The Order of Whispers or Durmand Priory. Stuff like that.
wait, is this MMO fully voiced? I thought SWTOR the only one doing that. They both look fantastic BTW. I'm so excited to play both of these. No MMO looks near as good as these 2.

Im a pretty hardcore WoW player and I can see this game taking a huge chuck out of WoWs player base when it comes out. This game seems flawless to me in every way. When ever theres some thing I question I think about it and it starts to make sense. Release it soon please!

As much as I cannot wait for this game I do have one concern. I'm concerned that the dynamic events will be really repetitive. Save the village, save it again, and again. They haven't shown that many examples of dynamic events or other activities you can do. If someone could fill me in on the rest of the game's content I'd appreciate it.

@Hannibal457 Dynamic events are the main content of the game. Of course you can't expect them to reveal every single one of them, but Arenanet've said that you shouldn't encounter the same event all that often. There are events where you have to catch rabbits or events where you have to solve riddles, raiding pirate bases etc. You have the personal storyline, dungeons and minigames as well. There are achievements, hidden places and things to collect (dyes, traits etc) And of course PvP. :)

@megera23 Thanks for clearing that up, but I have one more question. They've shown off the personal story concept by having you pick certain traits at the character creation process. But will there be actual choices like dialogue options to help shape our story?

@Hannibal457 There are no dialogue options in the cutscenes that I know of but you do have choices to make in the game. One example is that at a certain point in one of the human storylines you have to choose whether you're going to save a burning hospital or a burning orphanage. Or what organization you want your character to join - The Vigil, The Order of Whispers or Durmand Priory. Stuff like that.

Im a pretty hardcore WoW player and I can see this game taking a huge chuck out of WoWs player base when it comes out. This game seems flawless to me in every way. When ever theres some thing I question I think about it and it starts to make sense. Release it soon please!
