use a blender on the grapes and then pour the stuff in a bucket. put a lid on the bucket. wait about two days and the liquid will seperate from the grape peals and float to the top then just dip the peals out. i would not use screen because you could introduce bacteria that you may not want from the wine. you want the bucket and everything to be sterile. even the spoon you stur with
hey man much better idea.... u should just stick that hose in a bucket of water and as the yeast makes co2 it will just bubble in the pail of water easiest way to make a airlock thats for sure
next time observe this cardinal rule NEVER USE BREAD YEAST. and what i do is use a mix of concords and other berries that i collect whenever they are on sale and u can also use a cheap grape juice as long as its 100% juice, which will only really have vitamin C added.
this is easyer 15 cans frozen Wealtches grape juice 1 and a half 2 kg bags of sugar 1 pack yeast per 5 galloon bucket costs about 41$ per 5 gallon bucket
try usin alcotec 48hr yeast in stead of bakers yeast, bakers yeast will only yeild like 8% alc or something like that , very low, alcotec will give you 20% with your initial fermentation!! i love my wife but i wouldnt drink anything she stepped on !! your brave! hahaha
hey nick i like that you are trying to do for yourself.store bought 100% juice is cheap then go to a brewery store and get the right yeast and corn sugar. i have been makeing my own beer for about 6 years and you are on the right track but just dont forget to steralize EVERYTHING that touches your liquid
Nice! Looks like you're making a kind of grappa instead of moonshine. For grappa, you don't really need all that extra grape concentrate. Put the final ferment, seeds, skins and all into the distiller. If you're using a reflux still, it will come out more like vodka without flavor. A pot distiller will allow the grape flavor to come through and make a nice grappa. That milk can you're using would make a nice distiller. Fermenting buckets and wine yeast are cheap at online homebrew shops.
Thank you. I said if it doesn't come out that great, I'm going to cook it and use the can as a distiller. I have all the parts to make it. Thanks again and we will see what happens.

Here's an idea.
chop the grapes in a food processor.
Next, put the mash in a Salad Spinner to quickly & easily separate the juice from the pulp.
