Yes, Yes, Yes. Johnny Bush, Curtis Potter, Darrell McCall, and Justin Trevino; keeping up the tradition along with Amber Digby as well. Too bad that marketing executives (not musicians) are producing almost everything today.
No one can touch this song like Johnny Bush Shinn. I dedicated my current biography of George Strait called KING GEORGE to Johnny. Available at amazon or STRAITBOOK website. Check it out!
I remember the last time I saw and heard JB play live, it was in 1973 at Ruisoso Downs New Mexico. He played at the Convention Center there, and it was a pretty big place then. He had his big dance band, the Bandoleros. they ran a Johnny Bush and the Bandoleros Hanicap there. Let me tell you, he put on the best show going in those days. It wasn't long after that or it may have been at that time he was starting to lose his voice. There Stands the Glass was a big hit right then. Bob Burnitt
Trying to say that Johnny bush is a Ray Price imitator is like saying that Willie Nelson is a Ray Price imitator. These are three distinct styles of vocals. All are great.
A great Song done just great by Johnny ~He had a GREAT mentor inRay Price while he played Drums for Ray and Darrell McCall Palyed Bass ~Both were Awesome ~I realy enjoy his Awesoem Range and overall Talent ~Steve
First heard Johnny and the Bandeleros do this one at the Stagecoach Inn in Stamford, TX around 40 years ago and then many times thereafter. Great job, Johnny!
George Strait does a really great job with this song. But.....I think George tried to mimic Johnny. I am not trying to take anything away from George Strait...he is been on top for a very long time...he is great!
Nobody sings it like Johnny Bush, not even George.

Nice, but the all-time best arrangement comes from the most unlikely of "country" singers: Van Morrison
