Awesome track, a master piece of concepts but i cant help to think that something has been edited from the clip. when it says "Only his mother knew" and then shes stitching him back together. Only his mother knew? Knew what??? .....that he self harmed??? if so, being teddy bears, i could see why it might be edited. It fits but maby i'm just reading to much into it.
< 2 Actually - though - I can't help feeling whoever made this video is a little sadistic. Why wish that sad story on such a cool teddy bear? He planned a rock show, but the little toy bear was too afraid. Later he killed himself.
What kind of imagination does that person have?
I dunno. Maybe it's genuine!
Lovely teddy anyway. Maybe he'll get more sympathetic roles.
Sometimes When I wake at night I feel that nothing on earth could ever heard me Sometimes When I'm on my mind I feel that nothing I say could ever deserve me I'm stood on the tab of my own tongue I'm caught in the space between the concept and the execution I'm stuck in the back of my own fruit I'm lost in the void between the instinct and the institution It's more than vocabulary Takes more than a dictionary
i primi tempi che guardavo questo video mi mettevo a piangere... mi ricordava la mia infanzia che nn tornerà mai piu'... chissà come sarebbeil mondo se tutti ci ricordassimo della nostra infanzia....

@jeenyus045 Right! He was one of the few who really kicked of the electro 80s movement in the early 2000's His work is often overlooked but those who know know well that Thin White Duke is the man!
Les Rythmes Digitales is Stuart David Price. He was born in Paris. He is an electronic musician, writer and record producer. He is great. The singer is Nik Kershaw. He was born in Bristol, England. He is an english singer and songwriter. Sometimes is a song from the second album of Les Rythmes Digitales Darkdancer released in 1999. Stuart worked for many artists: Madonna, Missy Elliot, Kylie Minogue..
I love the video and song. I love the teddy bear. Life is tough sometimes. SOMETIMES SOMETIMES
This song (maybe because of the clip) was actually the first electronic music I liked. Bought the album, back then it was kind of a misfit between all my punkrock albums... :)
The video is great. Despite the fact it is done by teddy bears, and therefore kind of ludicrous, it is also incredibly real and sad. This perfectly matches the tone of the song, which is a pastiche of the 80s (therefore kind of cheesy/camp) yet is too good not to be taken seriously in its own right.
The band is: Les Rhythmes DIgitales, a 90s project by producer Stuart Price (aka Thin White Duke, Jacques Lu Cont) designed to emulate French new wave synthpop from the 70s. this is off the album "Darkdancer"
I absolutely love this video and if it isn't too much trouble, would you mind terribly uploading another version to take advantage of the HQ or HD that youtube now offers? Thanks for putting it up at all though!
My God. FINALLY I find this video. I've been looking for it since I first saw it in Barcelona 9 years ago. Lack of web-presence is annoying. Thanks for posting.
I think Stuart is producing an album for the Killers at the moment and possibly new LP for Keane, but you should listen to Zoot Woman if you haven't heard them yet.same flavour.
i remember you too இڿڰۣ-ڰۣ—❤

Coolest teddy bear here since some diabolical west coast Scottish bastard stole Teddy of me in Athens about 7 years ago. Little git.
What a lovely teddy bear this is - as cool as old Teddy. Actually a cooler dancer - very cool dancer (though Teddy had his times).
Lovely teddy. Must have had a blessed owner. Very sad.

@dcmtr: Not everything is "cheesy/camp" just because it's from the 80ies... And this song isn't as well imo. Well, opinions... ;)
Steril707 1 year ago
@Steril707 Not all 80s music was cheesy at the time, but referencing the 80s in a modern song is cheesy. Not necessarily in a bad way though.
