Does anyone have the slightest idea why my follower won't follow me into buildings? When I get through the doors, after the loading sequence my character spawns inside of the building, but she just stays outside.
@XxcodynahxX they are where they belong - jarvaskr for companions, magi colledge for apprentices, taverns for mercenaries, houses for housecarls. if you forgot something - check skyrim wiki for followers location.
@MrSickKickz23 update: followers don't lvl up with you, their lvl is determined the first time you meet them (tested using console). Though there are many possible followers, including housecarls for around 25000 gold, whom you can only meet at high lvl.
@ytsibyer Disable/enable makes game to reinitialize npc, but not all npc can lvl up - some has low lvl limit. Also if they have 100 skill - they still don't have a single perk, so you may also consider adding perks to make them combat capable. Also don't forget to remove hunting bow each time you get a follower, cause it is their favorite weapon (until they pick iron sword from nearby bandit and use it instead of legendary daedric bow).
Bro how do you check the Npc's skills? Can you tell us what commands to use? I tried using getavinfo on a npc but failed. All I know is that disable/enable command thingy. Appreciate if you reply bro kk thx.
Yeah the hunting boy is getting annoying, tried the removeitem command on it but utgerth the unbroken reequips the damn bow later afterwards... I'm trying the ebony bow because someone said daedrics bows are not recognizable by npcs.
@ytsibyer followers will use daedric bow if you remove any melee weapon, their default hunting bow and give them loads of arrows. When they run out of arrows - they will summon their favorite hunting bow.
@MrSickKickz23 i came to conclusion that they are all same, the only difference is that they have different voices and sentences. Also there is probably a bug - not all companions equip high quality bow, so if you need ranged companion - you have to test which one can use the strongest bow. Also equipping companion with a set of legendary daedric armor makes them able to solo kill draugr death lord for example while loosing around 20% of health, so i see no difference between them.
Agree. Companions are even more useless when they're ones that complement you. If you're a mage CQC followers will get hit by your spells and die, and if you're CQC mage and archer followers will shoot you in the back of the head and kill you. Kinda sucks.
@Thunderwolf456 Skyrim has similar to fallout companion system. In fallout:nw companions were immortal (on non-hardcore difficulties), making them really useful, also they had personal quests. This video is the answer if companion or quest npc can die (Aela are both). In Skyrim you have to watch companions every second, because you are not the only who can kill them, making them totally useless.
I lost my follower and he doesn't show up in any of the guilds or anything does anyone know how I can get rid of him?
